You can walk in rocking our style, listening to our music, taking jobs and opportunities rooted in Black American culture, being fully influenced by everything we built… then turn around and talk crazy like directors prefer UK actors because “Americans just want to be famous.” That’s the same energy as the people who steal our culture and then talk down on us. 👀 We built this culture through real struggle. Our sons getting innocently shot in the street, systems failing us, generations of fighting just to exist — that’s the foundation. You don’t get to benefit from the culture and then disrespect the people who created it. Black American culture is not up for grabs. Respect it or keep it moving.
