Do You Know How to Report Cyber Crime? Here’s How IC3 Turns Your Tips Into Action.
The FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is the central hub for reporting cyber-enabled crime, providing the American public a dependable mechanism to report suspected criminal cyber activity. Combined with other data, information submitted to IC3 allows the FBI to investigate reported crimes, track trends and threats, and freeze stolen funds.
The FBI regularly disseminates information and intelligence to private sector partners and the public through IC3. In 2025, IC3 published 38 Public Service Announcements and 30 Industry Alerts, which combined were downloaded almost 5 million times.

National Night Out, Montgomery, 10/22/2026
Last night’s outreach event was a great reminder of the power of partnership. Through the FBI’s Community Outreach Program, we work alongside our communities to address crime, violence, and other challenges, one conversation at a time.
An #FBI Mobile, Montgomery Resident Agency investigation, with partners @mpdmontgomery & @USAO_MDAL, led to the sentencing of 20-year-old Perrion Savage for a January 2025 crime spree.

2025 marked the largest year-to-year decline since 1936 in overall national violent crime tracked by the FBI. Murder rates dropped by 18.1% and robbery fell by 18.5%.

As Cybersecurity Awareness Month continues, so does our push to raise awareness of a serious threat: North Korean IT workers infiltrating global companies under stolen identities.
North Korean IT workers are infiltrating companies worldwide, generating millions for the regime while exploiting access to steal sensitive data.
Posing as legitimate remote employees, they use stolen identities and a network of facilitators—including U.S. citizens—to secure jobs, collect salaries, and funnel funds back to North Korea.
U.S. companies must recognize this persistent threat. Review the updated @FBI PSA for warning signs and mitigation guidance: ic3.gov/PSA/2026/PSA261013
