Great article in which @antihateca
paints a very clear picture about the organized push by far-right candidates in school board trustee elections, why it matters, and what you can do about it. (VOTE ON MONDAY!)

Watch this, get informed, then VOTE! I didn’t realize how much impact the trustees have in the day to day workings of schools, and the students’ experience until the pride flag embarrassment last year. We need to do better. Vote for someone who wants what’s best for kids.
Equity is not a dangerous word.
Please take 1 minute to watch this video and share it.
Striving for equity for our students is our responsibility. Vote accordingly.

Thinking of all the trans kids in Oakville, especially those that go to Oakville Trafalgar High School. The current protests, the shaming jokes, and the right-wing media circus will take a horrible toll on their mental health, health and safety (both emotional & physical).

Our students deserve the best possible school experience. Our staff deserve our support. My priorities of faith, diversity, and education will help HCDSB achieve success.
On Oct24, vote Trish Nicholls-Powell for #HCDSB Trustee.

Wow. Here are 2 HCDSB trustee candidates for Burlington. . . Glad we’re so diverse that we can stop championing it. Oh, and the other guy uses quotes about Nazi purges to refer to new construction. Check out haltonparentsforchange.ca/El… for some better choices. And VOTE! @HaltonPFC
Got a card from a Ward 2 candidate in Burlington who uses a quote by a German theologian about the Nazi purges of the 1930s to equate new housing construction in the downtown. Absolutely shameful stuff. @BurlingtonPost @InsideHalton

📢 Burlington! 📢
We are excited to share the three candidates running for @HCDSB Trustee in Oct2022. We believe these candidates are best positioned to make school-focused decisions, listen to stakeholders, and put the well-being of staff & students first.

I would also like to especially thank @TrusteeAgnew and @GNancyl , who have been here since it all began last April. Thank you for supporting queer HCDSB students, staff, alumni, and the general LGBTQ+ community. Couldn’t have been able to do this without you both <3

DO NOT USE MARTIN LUTHER KING TO DEFEND YOUR BIGOTRY.
UGH...this is why Black people talk about the whitewashing of his activism. He was murdered for being a Black Christian RADICAL.
