I saw the 82-0 game floating around the NBA world yesterday so I thought I would make a version for the NHL.
Completely free, no ads, or anything. My record right now is 76 wins... try to beat me.

Quinn Hughes on playing for the Canucks, his return on Sunday, and spending the first 8 years of his career in Vancouver:
“I was really lucky to start my career there and just being a Canadian market was a really special thing for me… a lot of the reasons I am the person I am and the player I am is because of the experiences I had in Vancouver.”
"It kind of just feels like you’re playing for the Yankees… especially in Vancouver, there’s no NBA, there’s no NFL, there’s nothing like that… it’s just the Canucks and that’s a special thing."
“I’ve gotten really good over the years at just staying day to day… as far as Vancouver and tomorrow comes, I’m sure it’ll feel more real and the emotions will hit for sure.”
It's just a textbook example of creating offense off a battle:
• loses inside position but his wide stance lets him stay involved
• first touch maintains puck access
• perfect touch under pressure on the backhand pass
Has to be a set play because I have no idea how he would have seen or processed Eriksson Ek's route & availability.
In 2015, the Leafs traded away Chris Gibson, Matt Finn, Tom Nilsson, Carter Verhaeghe, and Taylor Beck to New York for Michael Grabner.
Verhaeghe went on to win three Stanley Cups playing in the sunny state of Florida, USA.
Beck is currently heading down to the VHL...
Watch how 2022 1st round center, Danila Yurov, impacts the game off-puck.
Makes himself a backboard for Brodin's shot, helps win back the puck, finds the open ice behind Karlsson, and keeps the puck alive first to his own rebound.
Yurov's got 4 goals in 10 games with a 60.9% xGF% at 5v5 while Minnesota's recently stacked the first line without him.
I think he's one of the most underrated players in hockey and, imo, Minnesota should nix the deal if he's the hold up in a Larkin trade.

Couldn't do Buium like that and not show a bright spot in his game. Mancini's got a little Steven Adams screen setting in a way I know @ThomasDrance probably wants to see a little more of.
I still think Buium's a great piece for the Canucks, but he doesn't currently have the transition element that can make a modern #1 a one-man show.
The Sabres are clicking at a red hot 9.1% on the powerplay this season good for 32nd in the NHL. Maybe they should try a 2-1-2 powerplay in a way Minnesota & Boston have (2nd & 8th best PP% in NHL):
Thompson - Dahlin
Quinn
Doan - Benson
Gives them two downhill options with Dahlin & Benson each getting three RH shots to pass to; Thompson can still creep down for the one-time bomb, and then they can force shots from Quinn/Thompson/Dahlin while Doan & Benson are early on retrievals.
I could have missed them already trying this, but since they already go into that 2-1-2 shape at 5v5 anyways, why not give it a try on the PP?
The Devils are a possession machine. Four things to watch here:
1. Constant motion in and out of the slot. No set net-front player. Always rimming it around to the other side of the net to get defenders moving.
2. They're playing for those retrievals off the rims. The hardest a guy will skate is right before a 50/50. Bratt, Hughes, Gritsyuk, Rodrigues, and Hischier all rank in the top-75 in the NHL for OZone retrievals, via InStat.
3. Always a forward swinging high either as a passing outlet, covering for a pinch, or to prevent a counter the other way.
4. They have a controlled entry guy on every line, giving them control of the first chance. Hughes, Meier, Hischier, Rodrigues, and Lombardi all rank in the top-65 in the NHL for zone entries via InStat.
This game, against Ottawa, was their worst performance of the season in terms of chances generated.
Is this not an insane schedule for the Canucks to start the year? Yeah why not run through 5 of the top 7 teams that could win the Cup this year. Double up Edmonton. Double up Carolina. Lets see what they're made of. Chytil's feeling better, they'll be fine.
Pretty random shout, but I think Brayden Edwards is gonna be an NHLer in the next few years.
Led the Lethbridge Hurricanes in points at 19 years old, hung out down in Wheeling last year, and made Wilkes Barre out of camp this year.
Great speed and defensive habits. So good at recovering above the puck. Think he's a little optimistic offensively (wants a cookie I get it) and he definitely be could be more confident handling the puck. Feel like he's forcing the immediate play when there are a couple options available.
Either way, I think Dubas found a diamond in the rough here.
Brayden Edwards continues to impress! He was named the first star of the game and finished with 3 points (1G, 2A)!
#WBSPens win 6-3.
Is it not insane that the greatest player in the history of the Jets is having this petty standoff with his org? Jets turned down monster trade offers for Hellebuyck, giving him the option to either rebuild with the Jets into his late 30s or retire. Jesus.
I love hockey

EP25 this season:
• this absolutely sick game-winning goal
• 0.70 xGA/60 at 5v5 (3rd best in NHL)
• 77.2% xGF% at 5v5 (easily best on Canucks)
This could be one of those guys who flourishes under Manny
