“When the legislature reconvenes for the 2027 legislative session, our leaders must finish the job by passing meaningful disclosure standards to bring third-party litigation funding into the light once and for all,” Scott Johnson says. thecapitolist.com/next-sessi…

Another insurance rate decrease in Florida 👏 The results keep coming: commonsense lawsuit abuse reform is delivering real relief for consumers.
Commissioner Mike Yaworsky is approving an average -12.8% rate decrease for more than 120,000 rental insurance policies that will be effective this MONTH! Commissioner Yaworsky said, “The Office of Insurance Regulation is approving major rate decreases across the board, including decreases in insurance for our Florida renters. We are working hard to get rates down for all policies and we will continue to reach out to companies and ask them to do more. Stay tuned!” floir.gov/newsroom/archives/…

It's #LawsuitAbuseAwarenessWeek. ⚖️ Excessive litigation costs the average American $1,771/year in a hidden “tort tax” ($5,579/family) and costs the economy more than 5 million jobs. Everyone pays for legal system abuse.

Malpractice insurance costs are on a 7-year stretch of annual prices increases, with Florida physicians absorbing significant consecutive-year hikes. If this trajectory continues, it could have negative impacts on patients’ access to care. medicaleconomics.com/view/ma…

Thanks to Gov. DeSantis' leadership and the tort reforms we passed in Tallahassee, Florida's insurance market is stabilizing, and rates are moving in the right direction. I'm committed to keeping up the fight so Florida families and businesses get the relief they deserve. 🏠

Florida took on lawsuit abuse. Policyholders saved nearly $3 billion on home and auto insurance in one year. Lawsuits fell. Rates dropped. Competition grew. Lawsuit reform works. Texas must pay attention.

A new study by @TeamAPCIA found Florida policyholders paid nearly $3B less for homeowners & personal auto insurance in 2025 than a year earlier. This is all thx to legal reforms passed in ’22-23 stabilizing and strengthening the property insurance market. api2.apci.org/attachment/dow…

The 2023 reforms proved that when lawmakers are willing to stand up to that pressure, real relief follows. FL's families/small businesses are counting on the Legislature to keep that momentum going, not to let it slip away. @JmsMadisonInst @fsudwheeler thecapitolist.com/keep-up-th…
