NEW VIDEO: Florida picks up the pieces after Hurricane Isaias slammed the Panhandle Friday night, unleashing wind gusts topping 100 mph. Residents are now surveying the damage and beginning the cleanup. #Flwx
π FL SOPHE extends our heartfelt gratitude to the first responders, emergency personnel, and volunteers mobilizing to support communities impacted by the hurricane. Your courage, service, and dedication embody the power of community resilience. Florida stands together! π€
What we witnessed today was extraordinary.
A massive convoy of emergency vehicles traveled west on I 10 just east of Tallahassee, heading directly toward communities devastated by Hurricane Isaias. The storm struck near Destin as a Category 2 hurricane with winds of 105 mph, leaving widespread destruction and hundreds of thousands without power across the Florida Panhandle and surrounding states.
This was more than a line of flashing lights. It was help on the way. It was courage, compassion, service, and hope moving toward people who need it most.
To every first responder, National Guard member, utility worker, law enforcement officer, firefighter, paramedic, volunteer, and emergency worker answering the call, thank you. While others move away from danger, you move toward it.
Please keep the Panhandle, every affected family, and every responder in your prayers. Share this video so the nation can witness what courage and service look like.
Beginning next week, we will once again collect donations and mobilize hurricane relief support alongside our community partners, South Florida law enforcement agencies, Global Empowerment Mission, Cleveland Clinic, and the many dedicated organizations that always answer the call. Together, we will stand with these communities and help bring hope and relief to those who need it most.
