Just stating for the record that Posting is Art.
In Budget 2026, we’re backing the Canadian artists who tell our stories. That means if you’re a Canadian artist, you won’t pay tax on up to $45,000 of income derived from your creative work.

Once again, I am asking scientists to develop a drug that approximates the feeling of petting a cute dog in the park.

Computers used to 'boot up.' Printers took so long you could have lunch waiting for one document. Internet connection and upload/download was painstakingly slow. Elder millennials and Gen X know. Where is all that extra time now? Not leisure.
If AI was going to liberate the working class, computers would have already done so. Between the late 1970's and 2019, worker productivity in Canada grew 60%. Did you get 60% fewer work hours with the same quality of life? No. AI won't liberate you under capitalism either.

Anyone who's ever been (openly) efficient knows the reward for doing work is more work.

Someone at the cafe mentioned they were stressed about 'the election,' and we genuinely didn't know if they meant Toronto today, B.C. two days ago, Quebec a few weeks ago, or somewhere like Brazil or Serbia. (They meant the upcoming US midterms.) #mtlmoments

After everything we've been through I can't believe we haven't survived ONE Heated Rivalry Halloween yet...it's just been brewing under the surface all this time like a volcano ready to destroy a small unsuspecting Italian village

Ngl I couldn't have told you whether it was behind scaffolding or, if I stood in front of it, I couldn't have told you whether it had been there for a day or a decade. At a certain point, in a Montreal life, everything is under construction forever, so you stop seeing it.

The content farm accounts are embracing AI. Who could have predicted it? Anyway, enjoy your time it's Montreal's beloved Cultural Remnant and a Caffe Italia that isn't in Mile End and does not look like that. #mtlmoments

Don't think they got a single one right, in description or image. Like, that is not Ruelle Drolet (which is a funny ruelle to single out), that is an approximation of a plateau alley behind a row of restaurants that's full of grease vats and rats.

How could they be expected to identify the location or look of Caffe Italia, anyway? It's not like they posted a photo of its iconic sign, in Little Italy, just before this roundup. Anyway, welcome to the future of tourism!
