Albo's so-called 'Digital Duty of Care' is really just about more censorship of ordinary Australians! Please tell the Senate today that this is not on by making a submission!

Apparently he has not learned from (1) losing the election and (2) losing his seat.

Today I've filed against Adelaide University in the Federal Court for breaching my workplace rights to academic freedom and free speech. Since November last year I've been subjected to multiple investigations and am now facing more than 200 allegations and sub-allegations. My crime? That I don't comply with the leftwing orthodoxy of the academy. Not a single allegation pertains to my teaching or research but to an opinion that I hold on abortion, trans ideology, Islam and consent. The university disagrees with my opinion on these controversial topics and has been pursuing me, since last November through multiple misconduct investigations and legal letters sent by their firm Baker McKenzie. This is a bizzare case of censorship from South Africa. It seems they are getting ideas from Australian Universities.
In my latest column, I discuss the potential expulsion of Mark Oppenheimer from UCT Council for raising the alarm about antisemitism at the university: "Oppenheimer has a thick skin, and is prepared to fight his corner, but his rights to free expression matter just as much as everyone else’s. I am therefore proud to stand by Mark’s side as he has done for so many others." I am facing suspension from the Council for supporting Mark. Read the article linked below and let me know if you think these sanctions are justified.

Hi David, can you please let us know which data centres are going to host the 'Digital Duty of Care'?
Big tech will try and tell us the rollout of AI and data centres is inevitable but here’s the proof it’s not. Community opposition to a data centre in Victoria has delayed the project so much it cut the developer’s net revenue by 1/3 and dropped their stock price 40%.

This will be interesting. Australia will have to set out what reasonable steps these platforms should have taken but did not take. When these were proposed based on an AI hallucinated study, this is not going to go down well!
BREAKING: Australia to reportedly sue Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, & YouTube for allegedly violating its nationwide social media ban for children under 16.

Anonymity is one of the best guards we have against consequences ranging from social embarrassment to overt government oppression. So why are we giving it up without a fight? My latest at @BostonGlobe on free speech, anonymity, and the changing internet: bostonglobe.com/2026/10/20/m…

Wonder what conspiracy theories eSafety will announce today!
Today, the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security (PJCIS) will commence an inquiry into the nature and drivers of radicalisation in Australia. You can watch the broadcast from 10am AEDT here: 👉youtube.com/watch?v=o2Q0yCpd… #auspol #pjcis #radicalisation #australia #nationalsecurity

Ha, seems she sent her staff and didn't show herself. So the Senators post is misleading. Probably to avoid questions like - 'has the eSafety Commissioner caused radicalisation by undermining trust in Government?'

A reportedly drunk & possibly insane man attacked a member of parliament in Australia with his car. And so, naturally, a few vile politicians are exploiting the tragedy to demand mass online censorship. Decades of scientific evidence & common sense demolish their lies. THREAD

If true, this will have some interesting consequences. Perhaps the Greens might be more worried about the Digital Duty of Care now, given it would be their online associates we would need protection from.
🚨#BREAKING: Greens leader David Shoebridge unfollows suspect in Helen Haines attack Read that again. The Greens leader was FOLLOWING the alleged TERRORIST at the time of the horrific attack. Australia needs a Royal Commission into far-left extremism.

Coming to Australia soon with the so-called 'Digital Duty of Care'
The Online Safety Act has made hosting community forums so laborious that they're closing shop. Hundreds of forums have shuttered due to piling paperwork and liability risks. Ordinary speech from ordinary people, gone. Read our report ⤵️ bigbrotherwatch.org.uk/campa…

How would this work for local AI? Anyone can download and run it, and free from this proposed sinister government monitoring.
We need a duty of care that works to ensure conversations like this get shut down and flagged, every time. Tech that encourages and validates violent delusions is a danger to our society and we can’t rely on voluntary measures to limit the risk.

Bizzare, even for eSafety. So female to male trans bad - one must wonder why they spent all that money opposing @BillboardChris? Maybe this blog was done as an intern as a prank? Although no warning about male to female trans. Wonder if we will get an update.
According to the @eSafetyOffice you are a dangerous far right incel if you either A. hate women or B. are fiber-maxxing.

$226,000+ in scrutinised travel. Now FOI documents show no record of the meeting Anika Wells used to justify a taxpayer-funded Adelaide weekend at a close friend's 40th. The Coalition wants her gone. The PM calls her "a very good minister." Still a minister?

The funny thing about the ticking-off we gave to Australia last week is that their media can't report on what 250,000 of you have already seen, because my e-mail response - my document, my choice - is formally subject to a non-publication direction.

The post below includes draft material from the current Royal Commission. This suggests that there will be some recommendations for Online Censorship of some kind, given its reference to a 'robust enough' regulatory regime to deal with 'unconstrained speech online'. Unfortunately, the Commission did not bother to engage with Free Speech advocates.
The Australian Government's "Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion" isn't pleased with us. We received some "royal order" (lol, lmao even) not to publish this. Anyway, our lawyer literally told them to go to hell. The rest of what they sent us is redacted because they knew I was going to share it again.

Maybe don't give your kids smartphones and unfettered internet access then?
All of us know what a cesspit social media and online gaming can be. Every single parent in the country is worried about this. That’s what the Digital Duty of Care Bill is all about. Protecting our kids. And I think those same parents will be shocked and sickened if the Liberal Party makes the decision to vote against this Bill.

The esafety commissioner has lost multiple court cases and been found to be acting beyond her legal authority. That deserves strong criticism and she should have lost her job long ago for such repeated mismanagement and failures.
.@AnikaWells really gives away the game here in calling online criticism of Australia’s Grand Inquisitor “abuse” and saying it makes her “not safe.” That’s literally how the legislation defines content it wants to censor. So there you have it: if you dare to criticize the censor, you shall be censored! Totalitarian perfection, no notes “We catch up frequently, we talk about the pressure and abuse that a position like the eSafety Commissioner gets put under. It is testimony to the fact [the] online [world] is not safe and is not safe for women.”

Update, the Greens have now changed their mind and it is being referred:
The Greens voted against a Senate Committee consideration of the Digital Duty of Care Exposure Draft. What are the Greens afraid of?
