The "Eco" setting for a dishwasher should mean the dishes are washed in a labyrinth in a fortified tower by several Benedictine monks, all of whom have taken a binding vow of silence to protect the secrets of the dishwashing protocol, but one among their number is a murderer

I have resigned from the Board of ISAS. I was torn between leaving bc of my failure at doing the work which needs to be done or staying in an attempt to remedy those past failures.
My decision ultimately was based on a family issue which is unconnected to academia+
I hope that changes that are underway will be productive; change is deeply needed.
I'm thankful for Robin Norris's leadership as executive director during this time. I'm thankful for Mary Rambaran-Olm's work on and off the Board. +
if you are a member of ISAS (International Society of Anglo-Saxonists), you will have received an email with instructions how to vote whether we change the name of the organization & to add demographic representation to board.
I urge you to support of these changes+
I regret being slow on these pressing issues; completely unrelated personal issues are keeping me off the internet as much as normal; this will continue to be the case. Additionally I honestly have a hard time expressing myself in non-joke form. I'm usually a quick retweeter bc+

#Raceb4Race #shakerace #medievaltwitter Calling all premodern grads of color/grads studying critical race studies 📢 @hailkitanakahn and I just created a facebook group (Grad Students in Pre-modern Critical Race Studies) to connect, share resources, ask questions, and more!
The International Society of Anglo-Saxonists (#ISAS) has some serious problems. As a member & board member I want to give a little insight to what's been going on recently+
I don’t have any kinds of figures but I’d guess that a majority of ISAS members are not on twitter. It is historically a slow moving org. I mentioned at conference that my first ISAS (2003) was the first time grad students were allowed to present papers+
