I am begging @NBAonNBC to use the version of Roundball Rock they used on TV broadcasts from 1990-2002 rather than the original long winded track. Like this. @paulsen_smw @WorldWideWob
A fuller version of Roundball Rock in the intro for tonight's Peacock NBA preseason game.

Are you guys watching games or box score watching? Alex Sarr is doing his job defensively, providing passing, and spacing out. Yes, he needs to rebound and show fight there. Give the kid some grace, he just returned to live basketball action a couple weeks ago!
Are the Wizards developing a star or repeating their worst franchise mistakes?

block this account, this is the worst kind of engagement bait. thats not what he says in this clip at all
Paul pierce hops on IG live to address the rumors of him being broke. He said do I look broke. I got checks coming in every week. I only said that so the judge can lower my $40K a month child support. My bm needs to get a job😬 ā€œI’m broke but I got 10 cars and 3 cribs lolā€
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Paul Pierce did not say this on IG live or address being broke/child support as claimed. The video is an unrelated May 2025 clip of him ranting about NBA playoffs; court filings show him claiming financial hardship without admitting deception. tmz.com/2026/10/27/pau… tmz.com/2026/07/31/for… x.com/Fullcourtpass/…

Season just started. Injuries are coming in like a flurry
Toronto's Kawhi Leonard is expected to miss a period of weeks due to swelling in his left knee, sources tell ESPN. MRI on Leonard's knee showed no structural damage, but sides will use the shorter term to ramp him back up after the stoppages during the offseason.

Heat are 0-3 at home for the first time since 2007-08 & just the third time in franchise history. Giannis Antetokounmpo has lost 4 straight games to start a season for the first time in his career.

Miami #HEAT are 0-4 losing to the #Mavs. The #Bucks will win that trade.

Yeah, the #Wizards aren’t beating the #Cavs. It’s been 5 years almost since they beat CLE.
The last time the Wizards beat the Cavs 😭

Yup. Justin Champagnie is a keeper. The #Wizards should extend him.
This game affirms to me that the Wizards cant even entertain the idea of trading Champagnie if they wanna compete. Nobody else on this team does the little things required to win.

I can say it with confidence but the #Hornets are running the #Wizards out of Charlotte tonight. Ugly, ugly performance.

Harry Kane going from football’s most famous trophyless player to a Ballon d’Or winner might be the greatest example of why changing employers can improve your life.

Wow. Jalen Williams is obvious. But I didn’t catch Cason Wallace’s injury. Brutal opening week for the #Thunder.
BREAKING: Oklahoma City's Jalen Williams has a dislocated left ankle and fractured fibula; Cason Wallace has a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Both will undergo surgery and be sidelined for several months -- most, if not the entire season.

What a disaster
Ramona Shelburne on what could happen if the WNBA title is won on Thursday: "That celebration may not actually be on that court. I've heard there are discussions about whether there's enough time to turn the arena over in time for the fans to celebrate on the court. It could be moved to a practice court" Unreal man smh

this is a good thing btw. it's important that working class people can afford things like this
The get-in price to attend Wizards @ Hornets tonight is just $3… cheaper than your morning coffee. You can even sit courtside for just $835. Unreal. 🤯 (Ticket Prices via @TickPick)

So Valkyries fans will need to be free at 9:30 am on a Thursday to possibly watch their team win a championship? I'm convinced the WNBA is either run by interns or the owners' nieces and nephews.
After a weekend of nonstop frantic discussions and negotiation, Game 6 of the WNBA Finals will be played Thursday at 12:30 pm at 17,000-seat State Farm Arena in Atlanta, sources told ESPN. The Atlanta Hawks-Cleveland Cavaliers game that night will move back to 8 pm to accommodate the doubleheader, just as the Hawks did for Game 4. This allows a potential Game 7 to remain scheduled for Halloween at Chase Center in San Francisco. All three Finals games in Atlanta have required hurried adjustments to the schedule at State Farm Arena. It took collective efforts from the WNBA, NBA, the Hawks, State Farm Arena, Dream, Valkyries and broadcast partners to figure out the best course of action again. By moving the game earlier in the day, the WNBA avoided a scenario where a potential championship game was played inside the Dream’s home arena, the 3,500 seat Gateway Center. The other option under strong consideration was moving Game 6 to an open date at State Farm Arena on Friday and Game 7 to an open date at Chase Center on Tuesday, November 3.
