This was a great reminder. I cleaned the gutters today instead of making leaf piles. I even swept some moss off of the roof while I was up there. Look how clean that gutter is.
Replying to @Factor85Labs
do the gutters while it is out. the lawn ones are not going anywhere

It's about time for holiday craft fairs. Which means it's time to buy a new set of hand sewn flannel pajamas for each of the kids from the old lady at the high school, and wonder how many more years she will be there.

This is our cat's new favorite video.
Tonight on Ranting with Red: her take on the current political climate. (She jumped up there on her own, and is yelling for grubbies 😆 her mom is like three feet away I swear she not upset)

These bushes looked a lot more bright and cheerful from a distance. It's still cheerful up close, just more dead and brown looking. I suppose this bush and I might have some things in common there.

I was going to do some things but a baby just fell asleep on my lap so I am stuck in this chair forever or until he wakes up.

We're sitting in a waiting room, and my daughter sighs dramatically, "I wanted to color, but there is just a crossword puzzle here, and it's too early to do a crossword."

"Every election I don't win is fake and rigged. It's obvious. There is no way more people disagree with me than agree." This is the position of every politician for all of history.

The forecast calls for relatively mild weather for the next couple of weeks, but when I opened the chicken coop this morning, none of the hens would come out. All the wild turkeys were still roosting in the trees well after sunrise. The animals know something is brewing.

Proposition 1 is going down to defeat tonight as Idahoans turned out in huge numbers to defend the unborn in our state. Thank you Idaho!

No matter who wins and loses, the sun is still going to set and rise again in the morning. Elections can't change that.

I voted. Then my wife called and asked who to vote for, so I texted her my list, and now she is voting. I did my part; now I'll make popcorn and watch the world burn.

The Western Larch (although some folks around here call them tamarack) turn a bright yellow-gold in October-November before losing all their needles. A very unusual conifer.
