India's animation scene is getting very good & will probably blow up in the near future (a bunch of its recent work has done very well at big festivals + one of the last Dreamworks films was animated almost entirely there). But Studio Eeksaurus is especially worth watching.
This is one of the most mind-blowing stop-motion films we've seen this year. It comes from India.
Using traditional ceramics, Studio Eeksaurus invented a new style of animation. We're exploring:

I do not care how cringe people think this is, They are right. The internet used to be fun and it belonged to all of us. And it still can be if we fight for it.

I genuinely cannot stress this enough but it is frustrating, invalidating, and dehumanizing to have to argue that my location doesnโt make me any less dedicated/ hard working/ talented than my able bodied peers.
Disabled voice actors ARE just as talented, dedicated as our peers

Never apologize for spitting facts.
Even if someone is operating through a company, imagine how callous and tone deaf youโd have to sound to not factor someone elseโs health into consideration for production.
Advocacy, self-awareness and compromise all exist at the same time.

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.
