It might be too late for Kai2, & maybe even Kyoto Xanadu, but I really really hope NISA doesn’t get the Crossbell Remakes, the next trails arc or Ys XI.
Gung-Ho has provided full releases AND upgrade paths, meanwhile NISA actively ignores fans AND delays games for key cards
There will be no upgrade path.
Unlike GungHo&Falcom (who use real cards & provide upgrade paths) NISA wants Switch 1 owners to pay full price for the Switch 2 version.
Hopefully they change their mind

According to a recent interview with IGN, a NISA representative said the decision behind choosing a KeyCard Release for Ys VIII was done because the game “didn’t deserve a real card”
Sources close to the company allege that NISA will repeat this mistake with Ys IX
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will be receiving a Switch 2 port courtesy of NISA
It will be Key-Card in Europe, with no news for the US release
No Upgrade Path has been announced

There’s a dude who didn’t like Crossbell because he couldn’t read, got jumped for it & has since made it his life mission to hate on the Crossbell games and I think that’s hilarious

10M is huge. For comparison Persona lifetime sales hit 30M earlier this year, Yakuza is sitting at 35M and FE as a series (before Fortunes Weave) was sitting at 20M.
Also if this really is before Sky 2nd then I think the series can hit 11-12 million by next year EASILY
