Children should never be burdened with keeping secrets about abuse. Let's teach them that it's essential to share any uncomfortable or harmful experiences with trusted adults. #NoMoreSecrets #SpeakUp
Thirteen lives lost in just three months is a stark, devastating reality that cannot be brushed aside as isolated domestic incidents; it is a national crisis of gender-based violence and femicide. Let us unite and stand together to end GBV.
Congratulations to one of ours
Family Support Trust extends our heartfelt congratulations to our board member Dr. Mildred T. Mushunje on being appointed by His Excellency the President of Zimbabwe, Dr E.D Mnangagwa, as a commissioner of the Zimbabwe Gender Commission.

Every girl deserves the right to learn, grow, and live out her full potential. A girl is a child, not a bride. Let’s protect her rights, safeguard her dignity, and build a world where childhood comes first.
Say NO to child marriage. Say YES to her future.

Our colleagues Ilyaas Sherally and Roos Welle visited Shamva with @UNFPA_Zimbabwe and local partners to see how the Safeguarding Young People (SYP) programme is helping youth take control of their health and rights - preventing STIs, unintended pregnancies, early marriages and gender-based violence. ♀️
🟠 During the trip, they met with Chief Bushu to learn how the "Not In My Village" campaign is bringing people together to end early marriages and protect the rights of girls.
👩⚕️ They also visited a youth-friendly health facility where young people are accessing healthcare, information and support in a safe environment.
We are inspired by the commitment shown by everyone they met. 👏
Traditional leaders, health workers, youth champions and local volunteers are working with passion and care to create positive change.
The Netherlands is proud to support this work through our Regional SRHR/HIV Fund. Thank you to UNFPA and everyone who welcomed our colleagues to Shamva and shared your work with them. 🇳🇱🤝🇿🇼

🌟Our warm thanks to our partners in the 'HIV Knows no Borders' programme for an informative and inspiring visit to Beitbridge, led by @IOMZimbabwe with @SaveChildrenZIM, @FamilysupportZ and @youngafricazw.
Through the #Dutch regional HIV/SRHR programme run from Maputo, The Netherlands has provided 24.5 million euro to 'HIV Knows no Borders'. This partnership is active in 6 countries, focused on border towns where HIV prevention is more challenging given dynamics of migration, travel, and cross border trade that strains local health services and hampers consistent testing, prevention, information sharing and treatment services. 🌍🧑⚕️
Beitbridge district has a population of around 150.000 people, but more than 4 million documented travelers pass through annually, and many more undocumented. This contributes to Beitbridge having among the highest #HIV rates in Zimbabwe.
Ambassador Matthijs van Eeuwen and health focal person Gaudencia Muzambi visited project sites where our partners are working closely with local traditional and religious leaders, youth and communities, to empower especially young people with critical information on sexual health, health services and referrals. #Youth change agents are leading the way: driving outreach and messaging in an area where 72% of the people are under 35. 🎗️
