A great example of American freedom at its best can be seen every day at @AMCTheatres… Where passionate attendees, many of whom possess almost no basic cognitive function, spatial awareness, common courtesy, and seemingly escaped from some sort of evil lab where they were grown as an experiment to piss me off, go home to enjoy all of the same rights and freedoms as you and me. Truly inspiring.

I’m stunned and grateful and a little bit convinced I fell into a different dimension. THANK YOU. My work has long been informed by and in response to yours — I’m still learning from every novel you write. I’m so happy!

Growing up in Queens, Sick of It All was a big deal for me, especially when I first got into hardcore back in the late ‘80s.
Lou Koller’s vocals were so fucking hard, and his stage presence was just as commanding. He was the quintessential hardcore frontman.
RIP to a NYHC 👑

A very sad day today, as we've lost one of the greatest to ever do it, Lou Koller of @SOIANYC.
Sick of it All was representing hardcore on a global scale long before and long after many bands had come and gone. They were, and ARE genuine trailblazers all while being incredibly kind to the bands they crossed paths with and helped grow along the way. Lou's legacy & impact on punk, hardcore and music overall will be eternal.
I don't know that I would be here today without discovering the Step Down video as a child, which was a major milestone that made my brother and I want to dive deeper into hardcore. Thank you Lou, thank you Sick of it All. Rest in peace.
