Today I was reflecting on the core philosophy behind @FarlandsWorld
The Farlands is all about player identity and ownership over your digital adventure. The concept that your character should be yours, and that each new game or experience shouldnt wipe the slate clean.
We appreciate everyone here in the early days, the people that can see the vision of the project - and if we dont build the game for the masses, we hope we can at least build the Farland for YOU 🫶

Dev Log Day 3✍️
We have the fundamentals in place from our first alpha playtest. We have movement, we have a decorated scene, but the FEEL isnt there.
Farlands aims to be a highly immersive fantasy world, and in doing so we have to acknowledge things from the smallest perspectives.
Because of that, i've reworked our physics foundation so each layer acts unique - as the feel of grass should be distinct to rock etc.
This may seem trivial, but will make our overall scene feel much more responsive.

We've been quiet for a while, and for good reason.
We're doing a full remap of the alpha stage using @UnrealEngine's new mesh terrain system for 5.8
Not only will it improve quality, optimisation & frame rate, but increases gameplay to 20+ minutes & really solidifies our introductory alpha experience.
This new build will enable us to bring our public launch forward on @EpicGames
