EU5 is in many ways broken, janky, and sometimes frustratingly so.
But, despite all that; EU5 really is the platonic ideal of a GSG, it is the GSGest GSG I have ever played.
In the same way that dwarf fortress is a buggy, janky 10/10 game, EU5 is a buggy, janky 10/10 game.

To honor dev diary 4 @Fatherlorris gave me a new awesome profile pic update!
Website is (mostly) back online after months of downtime.
Long story short; it got hacked multiple times and everything was deleted, I had to rewrite all the HTML and find backups of all the comics.
Huge thanks to everyone who e-mailed and messaged me about the issue.

Unreal.
Paradox desperately needs to integrate this one way or another.
DHEs suck without it.
Han publicado un mod bastante chulo del EU5 que te muestra en una nueva pestaña los eventos únicos que tiene el pais con el que estás jugando

Is there a term for this? Having a hypothesis that is unbelievably dumb, then paywalling your explanation so people are baited into subscribing.
We've heard lot of talk about young GOP neo-Nazis, but nobody has written about the most important thing in their lives. That changes now. Here's the first-ever full-scale overview of Paradox games and their massive, accidential political influence. ettingermentum.news/p/how-a-…

Folks.
Here is a quick rundown on how to play the EU5 trade game while having FUN. Shoutout to @Fatherlorris for coming up with the terms.
There are two types of trades we care about for this: Strategic trades (ST) and beggar trades (BT).
There is a common misconception that the goose is Jan Hus, the Czech theologian. While it's undoubtedly true that Jan Hus was in fact a goose, the goose in this particular painting is a different goose.
Fun EU5 factoid:
In the this loading screen Martin Luther is pictured next to a goose. This is because Martin Luther had a pet goose that used to follow him around.

Gonna drop you another tip if you are an EU5 SICKO.
Want to only have the flatmap, but keep 3D units?
Make sure that "Flat Map Mode" is not set to Always.
Then activate "Disable 3D Terrain" in the Graphics Settings section.
Voilà! Lil men on the map, but on a papermap!

Tuning issues aside, this might be the most on-paper impressive historical strategy game of all time. bit.ly/47vpT2p
