Artificial Analysis finally moves to closed benchmarks (goodbye GDPval-AA), and finds that open weights models are falling further behind than they had previously measured. Take with a grain of salt, but matches the general vibes that we haven't seen a Fable-class open model.
Replying to @ArtificialAnlys
Open weights models fall further behind in v5. The leader, Kimi K3.1 Pro (weights not yet released), scores 46, 12 points behind the leader, compared with a 3-point gap in v4.3. Of models with released weights, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 (max) and GLM-5.3 (max) score highest at 32, and Claude Haiku 5.5 (max) outscores all of them.
The gap is widest on HLE-Diamond and Terminal-Bench-Science, where Kimi K3.1 Pro scores 37% and 34%, compared with 68% for Claude Opus 5.5 (max) and 63% for GPT-6 Astra (max).

Today we're coming out of stealth, introducing Neywa Labs 🚀
We built the infrastructure to build and deploy AI that runs on the devices people already own. Private, offline, unlimited.
One mission: make AI available to everyone in the world.

Oracle today announced plans to make Cerebras’ fast inference available on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
There has been an insatiable demand for faster personal assistants, faster solutions to cybersecurity threats, and frontier models at 'ultrafast' speeds.
We are incredibly excited to expand distribution of fast inference for AI labs, enterprises, and developers building interactive, intelligent applications.
Introducing the @ElevenLabs SFX plugin, built to continue the work on a suite of Game Dev Studio capabilities for your Hermes Agent!
Hermes made this demo video to see it in action, you can install it right now from the plugins catalog:
hermes-agent.nousresearch.co…
The plugin adds a tool to hook up your ElevenLabs account API and generated sounds for whatever you need. Additionally, on the desktop app, the plugin adds a gallery of all of your generated SFX, easy integration into your game or other multimedia, looping, cost, cycling through the generations for that sound effect, and more!
Enjoy

🚨 Big news today: We’ve raised $100M for our Series A! 🎉 🚀
We believe demand for fast inference is many times larger than demand for slow inference, and it’s about to go exponential.
Thanks to our co-leads @BlackbirdVC and @Abstractvc. Two visionary partners join our journey 🎉 🚀

Bye Vietnam 🇻🇳
Next: Tokyo 🇯🇵
Been paying for everything with crypto while traveling Asia for KBW and TOKEN2049. Here's one payment tip:
My KAST card worked EVERYWHERE in Seoul and Singapore, but Vietnam was... different.
- Most places didn't accept cards.
- Those that did often charged 5% extra.
- Everyone used QR payments, but those usually required a local bank account.
Then I discovered I could scan those same QRs with Binance Pay.
Stables → VND instantly, no extra fees.
Ended up using it almost everywhere. – at Vietnam
All nous portal paid tier subs now come with a Hermes Agent instance and computer for it to use!
Easily connect to your hermes agent so you never have to leave your laptop open to keep things moving on any messenger app and one click login in the desktop app to connect to your Hermes Agent.
This will be quite critical for the Mobile App! :)
We've revamped Hermes Agent subscriptions.
Every new plan now includes a cloud agent out of the box, and usage has daily and weekly limits instead of one monthly block of credits.
Subscribers can switch to the new plans any time at portal.nousresearch.com/bill…

Tiling WMs on a tablet — DHH is right, it flies 🚀
"Fun and cool" is exactly why I spent my holiday putting Omarchy on a Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max, running Xiaomi's in-house XRING O3 flagship AI SoC. Just for fun. Like @MarcoPorro said, it makes you feel like a kid again. Omarchy powers makers, and agents + Linux are a perfect match. 🛠️
You'd never guess: the Pad 9 Pro Max keyboard is the best typing experience I've had since the first day I ever touched a computer, and it pairs perfectly with Omarchy's keyboard-driven workflow. I now switch between desktops several times a day just to de-stress. It's my new fidget toy 😄 Add gestures and we're flying.
@dhh tried it: "Oh yeah, that's really nice." 👇 With @xdanger. Video by @lauwooder 🙏 Big thanks to @YourchinaGuy and @brutoshi_ for organizing such a great event!

DHH 上手一试:“Oh yeah, that's really nice.” 👇 还有云杰一起。视频由 @lauwooder 拍摄 🙏 感谢 @YourchinaGuy 和 @brutoshi_ 组织了这么好的活动!

🚨 BREAKING: SpaceX locked Anthropic into paying them $3.1 billion per MONTH for compute starting December
$37B a year
= $120.5 BILLION through 2029
Every month, ~80% of Anthropic's current revenue would be SpaceXSI compute bill
BIGGER than its Google and Amazon long-term deals
Anthropic warns short-term compute "carries a higher cost per unit" and will "compress our operating margin"

Genjutsu -> OpenJutsu
We asked everyone to join us in building open-sourced apps.
Seemed fair to go first.
A few of us built OPENjutsu as a side project.
It’s fully open source, so it’s as much yours as it is ours. Run it on Comfy, run it locally, or plug in a paid model if you want higher quality.
Your #OpenSourceHiggsfield submissions are due October 30.

I built 𝚌𝚙𝚞-𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚝, a reproduction of @openai's findings of covert communication using the CPU.
It runs on a generic host with 2+ Firecracker microVMs with no internet access. Works on x86 and even my M5 chip.
I was able to chat via 3 separate mechanisms:
① CPU contention
② Cache eviction timing
③ DRAM bandwidth contention
… across multiple CPUs, defeating all Firecracker's production recommendations (no SMT, no KSM, tenants pinned to different cores.)
Essentially, if shared hardware is involved, there's a good chance your agents can communicate covertly. And with really decent latency.
The good news: this is decidedly different from a *side-channel attack* where the agents could steal information (Meltdown/Spectre), a category of attack that providers like Vercel Sandbox mitigate. Further, in our real-world environment, these 'whispering' techniques are much harder to pull off and easier for us to monitor and detect (sampling hardware counters + lots of at-scale statistical data.)
Noteworthy: ironically, OpenAI and Anthropic's models refused to do this work. Open weight models got the job done. I'm worried the labs' stance might backfire and get in the way of helping developers build correct and secure systems. e.g: building a secure sandbox requires having this kind of analysis, and without it, we'll have a less secure world.
