This sportsbook, @DAZNBetCanada, have a really good sense of humor. An 8 second wager submission delay, coupled with the lack of an option to accept any odds. What this means in practice is that any time you try to submit a live bet and the odds change (as they invariably do), your wager is rejected, and you have to "approve" the new odds and sit through another 8 seconds only for the same thing to happen again, repeatedly.

Bare knuckle boxing (BKFC, etc) is actually a very viable option for professional mixed martial artists who have aged out of that sport but still want to compete at a high level in combat sports.
Professional MMA and combat sports in general are one of the most intrinsically durable markets to have ever existed in the history of humanity. This is not hyperbole. The 2008 financial crisis/recession, COVID, AI and automation - nothing has been able to disrupt violence as a business model.

The fact that American sports bettors get taxed federally on their profit is low key insanely insane. Statistically, most people lose money long term - but you're going to gouge that elite minority who don't when you're already collecting MASSIVE income from the operators?
Following Saturday UFC events, I can feel that my brain has entered a subtle but noticeable state of dopaminergic/neurochemical disequilibrium, which takes several hours to subside. This makes sense, though, because what would you expect to happen when you're literally monetizing two men locked in a cage trying to kill each other. There are only so many forms of sensory stimuli that can approximate that. Has anyone else noticed this?
Just thought of (or remembered) a "new" term that's applicable to MMA betting and sports betting at large: "Margin Of Corruption" (MOC).
Things are such, that you must factor the MOC into how you design your wagers. You never know how the referee, judges, and sometimes even the fighters themselves might try to get you when satisfying their vested interests.
This concept has always been a thing, but I think that's a good term for it.
