Want to get customers from Reddit?
Here’s the exact strategy that works for SaaS:
✅ Step 1: Find high-intent posts
Look for posts where people:
• ask for “a tool for _”
• compare options / alternatives
• describe a problem your product solves
You can find these posts via Google:
• “best _ reddit”
• “_ alternatives reddit”
• “tool for _ reddit”
• “how do you _ reddit”
... and inside subreddits where your target audience hangs out.
✅ Step 2: Leave a helpful reply (no pitch)
• answer the question first (specific steps > opinions)
• recommend 2-3 approaches/tools (not just yours)
• mention your product by name only (no link)
✅ Step 3: Send personalized Reddit DMs
Send DM to OP and other commenters in post asking the same (they are clearly looking for a solution)
Copy/paste template:
“Hey, saw you’re _ (summary from post/comment). I built a tool that _ (tie value to their problem). Want to try it out?”
This 3-step strategy brings me 100+ high-intent visitors every week.
It works because:
• these posts already have demand (people are actively looking for a solution)
• replies rank on Google and compound over ~3-8 weeks
• DMs create immediate 1:1 conversations with buyers
If you want, I recorded a step-by-step video of my daily Reddit workflow 👇
how to build your roadmap:
ask the people who didn't buy why they said no.
build the thing that turns it into a yes.

any support, feedback or repost helps a lot
I’ll be in the comments all day, come say hi and tell me what you think 👇
stuck at $0 MRR? here are the exact steps that got me out:
1. write the offer
2. find 20 who have the problem
3. dm them, no pitch, just one question
4. get 5 real yeses before you build anything
5. build the smallest version that delivers it
6. see if they'll pay for it, if they don't ask why
notice "post content" isn't on the list.
at $0 MRR you don't need an audience.
you need 10 real conversations with people who have the problem.
"want to hop on a quick call?"
no. I became an indie hacker specifically so I'd never have to hop on a quick call again.
what I'd tell myself 7 years ago:
- start building in public sooner
- the code was never the problem
- "no competition" means no demand
- 10 conversations beat 10,000 impressions
- don't start over until you know why this one failed
would've saved me 5 products and 7 years.
indie hacker roadmap:
1. build
2. no users
3. build another one
4. no users
5. finally talk to one user
6. money

today is my birthday and I’m launching SignWith on Product Hunt 🎂
as a gift, @tibo_maker is hunting it for me 🤩
producthunt.com/products/sig…
SignWith is actually the first SaaS I’ve ever built that made money
it’s a simple pay per doc e-signature tool, so you don’t have to pay a monthly subscription for expensive and complicated e-sign tools
it makes me super happy to see 1,000+ businesses around the world use it to sign their documents every day
and they aren’t just tech companies. they’re therapists, independent tutors, daycares, home care providers for the elderly, physiotherapists, local electricians, vet clinics etc
they’re the people who keep our lives running, so the rest of us can talk about AI all day on X 😬
and they all had the same problem I had 2 years ago
they were paying heavy subscriptions for e-sign tools that were way too complex, with features they didn’t even need, when all they needed was a simple way to get a doc signed
knowing that something I built makes their day a little easier is the proudest I’ve ever felt about my work
would mean a lot if you checked out my launch and left your honest feedback 🙏
every bit of support genuinely helps a small product like this get seen 🙌
a very good guide on how to get into AI answers
when using your own Reddit account, one ban can wipe out all your history!!
check the pros and cons of each approach 👇
this is just from 6 days of posting on LinkedIn 🤯
I got 5+ customers and $1k+ in new MRR
if you're building on X but ignoring LinkedIn, you're missing out
been getting a lot more SEO/AEO traffic!!
it's amazing to see other people getting similar growth 😍
Google is becoming a MAJOR organic traffic source for us. And it's translating into real revenue growth too...
Here are the 3 things that we're doing to build search and AI traffic...
1. @outrank_so for building backlinks and content generation. then I layer on @squad_so_ to continue building out more content and improve the content from Outrank. More on that below.
TBH outrank is the sole reason we're at a 21 DR after just a few months. All on autopilot. (Both products @tibo_maker is involved with, no affiliation on my side, just really like them.)
2. @bazzlyai for finding reddit posts in our niche to comment on. This helps us get cited more by AI and we try to comment on posts that are also ranking Google.
3. Some of our highest ranking pages are NOT blogs, but they're product pages and examples pages. So for us, we make landing pages, so we're just creating swipe files of landing pages for people to discover. They've been getting cited a lot by AI and ranking on Google. Now using @squad_so_ to automate the process of finding landing pages and adding them to our /examples page. Very effective.
Most of the pages we add to our swipe file have nothing to do with our product, but they bring in the right kind of traffic.
Highly recommend working on product pages and examples pages for your product.

my Reddit and SEO game is starting to compound.
my stack:
→ Bazzly for Reddit mentions
→ Outrank for backlinks and ranking pages
the crazy part is the whole thing runs on autopilot.
