He did it with no reason at all! I mean why bother storytelling!

No, that idiot understood nothing about DC. He turned Batman into a killer, made Superman a violent, hopeless god, and his Flash doesnā€™t act anything like Barry Allen or Wally West.

The difference is Batman doesnā€™t go around branding people. You think Batman is the Phantom or Zorro? Zorro is a swordsman, itā€™d be weird if all Batman did in a movie was cut down people with swords. Batman killing is no different to the Punisher (disrespectfully).

Jesus, are we watching movies with no eyes or ears?

Superman can intimidate Batman who is branding people (which is a crazy sentence by itself), but he canā€™t save people in the Capitol building from a bomb? Plus how dumb is Batman in it? Dude is Lexā€™s bitch, and was even branding villains for Lex to murder in prison.

About 80 years of Superman and he hasnā€™t done anything like that in the movies OUTSIDE of injustice, since yall love that comparison so much.

We not going to put Spider-Man up against The Dark Knight. We should be putting the ones who visit, drop a banger, then continue on vs directors like Gunn when CBM are their entire career

DCā€™s best (Nolan, Snyder) is better than Marvelā€™s best (Raimi, Russos) but DCā€™s worst (Gunn, etc) is worse than Marvelā€™s worst (Gunn, etc)

This is exactly why James Gunnā€™s DC is commercially failing. He doesnā€™t understand the job and nobody at Warner is putting the guard rails up.

If this guy put as much effort into making the DCU good as he does in answering people on twitter we might actually have a decent universe but alas

James Gunn is defending the DCU and his decision to expand the universe with ā€œindividual storiesā€: ā€œThe DCU is just an alternate universe; we can enter at any location or time and tell THAT story. I dislike the idea that individual stories arenā€™t meaningful unless they lead to something else. People not understanding this is strange to me, because ā€˜Star Warsā€™ has essentially been doing this for 50 years across movies, shows, games and books, admittedly without the tonal variety." variety.com/2026/film/news/jā€¦

The problem with Sam Wilson and the joke entirely is that it isnā€™t a race thing, itā€™s acknowledging the character is just Mid and hasnā€™t been shown to be a good character

ā€œStarwars does thisā€ He doesnā€™t understand shit lmao. Starwars started off with a real solid trilogy, not these one offs. Even the one offs connect to the bigger shit going on in universe. Even the MCU started with two Ironman movies šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€

Batman choosing to ambush a villain in an alley with his child present and then just standing there and not protecting her while she has a gun in her face is maybe the single worst writing of Batman in any film ever.

The Green Kasey šŸŽƒ@RawbertBeefOct 23
I get that the bad guy has to be the main character in these villain movies, and an origin story is an obvious way to do that, but I want to see a movie from the villainā€™s perspective as they go against an established hero. I want to see a Batman fight through the bad guyā€™s eyes.
