Jonesy was the orange cat on the Nostromo in Alien (1979).
Ripley risked everything to get him off the ship.
Four different cats played him. The famous hiss was real: they hid a German Shepherd behind a screen and pulled it away so the cat would react.
He made it out with her, and we see him again in Aliens.
In a movie full of things that kill, he was the one thing that still felt alive.

🚨#BREAKING: A family in Georgia is outraged after they paid to have their 4-year-old pug named Cha Cha euthanized...
...and then MONTHS LATER later saw a photo on Facebook of their dog ALIVE AND WELL with a vet from the animal hospital
The story is wild.
According to the family, Cha Cha the dog got very sick, the vets told them it was organ failure and diabetic ketoacidosis... so the family decided euthanisia was the best course of action.
The family said goodbye in March, paid the bill, and went home grieving.
But according to the family, someone at that hospital was very attached to Cha Cha, because a worker took her home instead.
Months later, Rebecca (the owner of Cha Cha) was scrolling Facebook and saw a photo.
Her words: “I knew scrolling like that’s my dog.”
Even more wild...the vet's husband confirmed it, his wife not only had Cha Cha, but he says the pug was in GOOD HEALTH.
The dog they were told was dying was actually ALIVE and DOING WELL.
But it gets worse.
When the family went to the hospital, managers DENIED IT, Rebecca says they got a LAWYER and won’t talk about it.
Then, the family believes, the hospital put Cha Cha down to hide what happened.
Rebecca’s words:
“The fact that they put a healthy dog down. That’s just sick.”
And this is NOT the first time.
Earlier this year, another family said their cat Annie was supposed to be euthanized at the SAME hospital, and a worker took her home too.
The hospital admitted it “fell short” that time.
And Annie? She was put down too.
So twice now, a dog or cat has been alive and cared for after the family said goodbye.
...this is beyond insane

Some people have chemistry on screen. Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant have the kind that makes an ordinary conversation feel like a comedy sketch.
What makes their double act work is how naturally they play off each other. One can set up a joke without even finishing the sentence, and the other is already ready with a reaction. There’s no need to force the humor or compete for attention. The timing does the work.
That kind of ease usually comes from knowing someone well enough to predict their next move — and still being surprised by it. They can tease each other without making it feel rehearsed, which is exactly why these classic interview moments remain so entertaining.
The best comedy duos don’t just tell jokes. They make each other funnier.
And honestly, isn’t that a bigger talent than being the funniest person in the room?

there's something both hilarious and a little heartbreaking about a woman receiving a free cheese sample and reacting like somebody has just offered her the keys to a new life. melissa mccarthy plays her with the intensity of someone who has been surviving on crumbs of human kindness, and then a grocery-store employee offers her goat cheese without asking for anything in return. suddenly, this isn't a supermarket anymore. it's a romantic destination. jeremy culhane is just doing his job, but she's treating the sample like the opening scene of a lifelong love story. the cheese is free, the emotional commitment is immediate, and the poor employee has no idea he's accidentally become the most important person in somebody's week.
