4/ 17 Sep — Deckers: cheapness as the trap. Nike and lululemon already lost ~80% from the highs. The crowd now calls $DECK Deckers a bargain. Growth has cooled. Margins are next. Fashion does not owe you a rerating. 👉 financial-engineering.net/de…

I fear too many “safe quality stocks” with now optimally low PE ratios are set to disappoint their hodlers further. sales growth decelerations are priced in. not priced in: margin compression. $DECK $MO just to name two

Unpopular opinion, but: $DECK is the next $LULU / $NKE crowded, one-sided view in my timeline. Everyone talks net cash and buybacks. Growth down, okay, lower multiple. But, if margins don’t hold — buybacks won’t help.

Kohl’s $KSS shows how to allocate capital right during a tough turnaround. Deep value plus smart moves is a rare mix.👇

A key chart explaining the strong momentum of Kohl’s $KSS is the following. despite downward pressure on sales, on a comparable basis (same store), the big picture is improving. With debt worries solved + a cash-rich balance sheet, buybacks commenced earlier than expected.

The PHP project has released fixes for 2 critical vulnerabilities affecting servers that host PHP applications. Site owners and technical teams should confirm their hosting provider’s update plan and update PHP immediately. Versions before PHP 8.2 no longer receive security updates. These issues are not specific to WordPress, and no WordPress update is required. wp.me/pZhYe-5Gb

I have received a lot of questions surrounding $MCD and the struggles the stock has seen Here is the easiest explanation: $MCD is a Real Estate company, higher rates don't bode well for RE companies

$NVO According to Danish business newspaper Finans, no current member of Novo Nordisk's executive management has purchased shares in the company with their own money since June 2024. The finding has drawn criticism from Nordnet investment economist Per Hansen and ArthaScope investment strategist Lars Hytting. Per Hansen argues that with Novo shares down around 75% from their 2024 peak, personal share purchases by management would send an important signal to investors. Both chairman Lars Rebien Sørensen and CEO Mike Doustdar have emphasized their efforts to turn the company around, but Per Hansen believes buying shares with their own money would demonstrate confidence in Novo's long-term prospects. It is worth noting that management has received shares through compensation and anniversary awards, but these are different from purchasing shares with personal funds. Novo Nordisk declined to comment, citing its quiet period ahead of November's earnings report. Link: euroinvestor.dk/nyheder/novo…

In October 2024, almost two years ago, I wrote that I am avoiding uranium miners. another such “safe bet”. Four Australia-listed cos I am occasionally having an eye on, haven’t moved since then. One even almost —20%, and one —62%. financial-engineering.net/wh…

I closed $YCA and am out of uranium – at least for now. miners are too expensive and YCA has the risk of its ending supply agreement with Kazatomprom in a few years.

After the crash of #uranium miner Paladin Energy $PDN earlier this week, I felt it urgent to remind everyone why uranium stocks are not so easy-going as many seem to believe. With my "boring" pick Yellow Cake $YCA, I even had a better performance since I published my report for my members. 👇 financial-engineering.net/wh…

From 01 January 2026 👇 xitter.cf/Fin_Eng_Net/status/200… (full story: I had $FNMAS as an active case for my members, published before the presidential elections 2024. On 31 December 2024, I closed it again, writing among others that the privatization might not happen at all)

Interesting would be, if the housing market weakens further and they postpone the IPO — respectively no IPO during this administration’s term. for the majority of the year 2025, my timeline was full of $FNMA as a no Brainer. I am not so sure, honestly… my members + I played this with $FNMAS between Oct + year-end 2024 for a quick +178%.

In the case of Apple, the iPhone 17 (Pro) series sold extremely well, seemingly everyone on the street has one. So unlikely the next gen will be a major success. The price hikes (affecting demand) come on top.

I, too, think Apple will have a tough next FY: 👉 17 iPhone series was a big success 👉 18 series price hikes should lower demand 👉 people waiting for next year’s 20th anniversary series could also be a headwind 👉 services recently slowed down — here price hikes (memory excuse doesn’t apply btw) are a wildcard
Apple's newly announced Mac Mini and Mac Studio are what Apple needs to save Q3, or at least try to as: 1. Raising the prices of iPads and MacBooks has decreased their sales. 2. The App Store has seen slower growth, flat, or declining sales, as applications move to offer an option to pay without Apple's tax. 3. The iPhone Fold seems likely to be offered in limited numbers, as Apple struggles with production. 4. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max price increase raises the likelihood that the fan base will wait for the iPhone 20th anniversary edition. An article on Apple is coming soon.

under these circumstances, and given the current spec rumors, I cannot imagine Apple will have a strong next year. today, I see so many 17 Pro’s (including. Max) on the street, seemingly every second person has one. this will not repeat with the next lineup. the 17 pro’s at least brought meaningful and noticeable improvements. Not so sure about what’s next.

the stock of Volkswagen is a prime example of why just buying the stock for its dividend (in this case a special dividend due to floating Porsche) is not a no-brainer! If a company has structural problems and is losing in its most important market, then one should be cautious. VW common stock is approaching its 2020 panic-lows. This is not a healthy business!
