i hate when people say “voting doesn’t do anything” no YOU aren’t doing anything. voting is the least you can do to accomplish change in your community. if you aren’t volunteering, mentoring, or leading the “revolution” don’t complain about how voting “does nothing”. get active

For the first time in US history, a gay man, a Black woman, a Muslim, Native American woman, Palestinian, and Latina have won their respective midterm elections.

Aggressive reminder marginalized communities in red states are working their ASSES off to make these flips happen. Through egregious gerrymandering and all. Do not fix your mouths to bash these states tonight because YOU live somewhere else.

Notice how the liberal friend has a feminine, kind, and thoughtful demeanor and actually answers the questions while the conservative friend is rude, disrespectful, and refuses to explain her own beliefs, likely because she can’t
A tale of two friends. One will vote for anyone but Abdul El-Sayed simply because he's a Muslim. She's has no reason other than his religion. The friend will vote for El-Sayed because she wants to see reproductive rights safeguarded, abortion rights protected, and wants to live in a country where everyone no matter their religion feel safe. I don't understand where El-Sayed's hatred comes from. All he wants to do is pass Medicare for all, get money out politics and get money in your pockets.

I really do believe that Mamdani is the catalyst for this turn out. Like he showed that people’s voices matter and that you can vote for people who can actually do something to make things better.
