I am onboarded! 3 full weeks at the Bitpanda Vienna HQ and I didn’t feel like a “new employee” at all. My kick off was a bit different than usual. Every “newbie” gets a tight corporate onboarding schedule in week 1, mine got postponed to week 3. There was too much to do: I was thrown straight into all the topics I took over from Flo + a couple of new exciting things I get to plan myself. (Huge respect to HR for a schedule that makes everyone feel safe and comfortable, I just learned most of it by executing on day 1.) What got me excited this week: 1) We kicked off meetings (& Slack channels) to bring every department on board for Vision Chain. My first time presenting to different departments. And yes, as an ex-founder I can confirm: a company this size needs company-wide alignment, including the basics, to get EVERY department excited. 2) I love being in front of the camera, so I kicked off a format on “How to build a chain”: what really happens in a regulated company while executing a project like this. Will share the first episode with our community next week. Takeaway: my startup mindset + the Web3 team feels like a perfect match. The next months are going to be exciting, hehe :)) Thanks to everyone who made this start so special, I felt so welcomed 🤍 Now flying back to Berlin to start the official chapter “at home” (still no apartment haha).
