To import your #IBKR (Interactive Brokers) transactions into FINARKY in order to have a clear and complete view of your entire portfolio:
- In the IBKR website, click "Performance & Reports > Statements"
(or, in the app, tap the top left menu button and then "Statements & Tax")
- Run an Activity Statement
- Choose the period to export
- Click "Download CSV"
Then, attach the CSV to your AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Grok...) and ask it to convert it into a FINARKY CSV using the prompt in finarky.com/import-transacti… (You can also copy the prompt from the FINARKY app).
Boom! You got a file ready to be imported into FINARKY (via the app's "Import cashflows > from CSV file")
Importing transactions is often the biggest hurdle to trying a portfolio tracker.
