ngl this year has drained the life out of me & ive been losing sight of why I got sober. felt like ive been slowly losing myself but im doing a lot of reflecting on what I was like & what it took to get here. not been easy but I haven’t come this far to go back.

Just thought how this would be the painful part of the night where I’d sit up using for hours after everyone’s nights ended. Ugh. instead I’ve enjoyed today, a lovely walk, seeing my baby nieces & nephews, music, movies & food with family. Bed time! Real joy Happy Halloween 🎃

Saturday morning gratitude 🌅 Posting to show my addiction what recovery brings. I never had energy to do this in addiction. Every Saturday was ruined. Worked hard the last few days to stop letting it cloud my mind to the truth.

Got through so much this year. Recovery going strong, until this week.. I HAD to go to the hills today to fix my thoughts & think clearly. Got too complacent. Also posting to get back in the recovery world, I don’t wanna slip. Hello 👋

I haven’t posted for a while bc life has truly been testing me non stop. Not in a very good place but I wanted to share one positive that despite how heavy things have felt I have stayed sober 🤷‍♀️ ok that’s all

I am SO glad im sober.. more than ever before. It’s been THE hardest most emotional exhausting time & ive been needed 100% 24/7. It’s only bc I’m sober ive been able to be there Drink/drugs don’t get me through hard days but my recovery does. Very grateful.

Been going through an emotionally exhausting time for 5 months straight. It’s been non stop issues. Sharing this purely to show we can get through hard times sober & recovery does get easier. Using wouldn’t make anything better.

Hello recovery world, had an unplanned break, came back to a few concerned dms. I’m good! I’ve been working, spending time with family, travelling, just navigating through every day life & my recovery continues to go well through the ups & downs 💪🏻

Been incredibly overwhelmed with stress. My head said drink to escape. My heart said get out in nature. A cold wet foggy day, but a sober & calm one 🤍

Going through the saddest most painful rollercoaster experience of my life. My heart hurts. I’m fatigued. Yet the world carries on as normal around me & I have to act ok. If only there was a pause button 😮‍💨

Just another Saturday hangover/comedown free. Not a moment is wasted. I love how this is now normal life. Forever grateful for this freedom I now have 🤍
