been in 'full on' choral composing mode this last couple of weeks...there's another Christina Rossetti setting on the way! Glorious, angelic harmonies going round in my head day and night!!! 😇 #NewMusic2025 #englishpoetry #composerslife
Super proud of my Dark Sky Voices who performed a fabulous set @mcrchoralcomp yesterday on stage at Royal Northern College of Music! What a treat to accompany them on the Steinway grand for our rendition of Amazing Grace. Congratulations to all 18 choirs involved. Fabulous day!
So sad I missed this performance yesterday @mcrchoralcomp Thank you Harmonia for choosing one of my pieces!
The beautiful sound of all one million members of Harmonia doing “Sing a Song of Sixpence” with special actions and sounds effects for the nose being pecked off. #MACC2025

This week I visited Lanercost Priory and Church for the very first time AND discovered Birdoswald Roman Fort on the way home 😍 A fine day out. Highly recommend!
Only lived here for 50+ years!!!!
Loved being part of last nights @bbcproms @glasshouseicm. Stunning performances by Alena Baeva & @RNSinfonia and the wonderful Chorus of RoyalNorthernSinfonia who sang 'One Foot on Sea and One on Shore' beautifully to a very big crowd in the concourse beforehand! BRAVO 👍👍👍
this week has been full so many breakfast treats thanks to @BBCRadio3 Mike Tickell @kathryntickell The Silver Swan @durhamcathchoir and now Jack Brymer, who was a huge inspiration to me as a teenage clarinettist! Looking forward to my first @bbcproms tonight!
Getting stuck back into some serious composing now the holidays have kicked in. 😀More time to think, create and experiment! Hoping to complete another beautiful setting of @CGRossettiMusic for SATB Choir!
Loving the breakfast show this week with @PetrocTrelawny on @BBCRadio3 from our very own North East! Hearing the Silver Swan took me back to my school days singing madrigals in #Hexham. Here's my own setting of the text sung by Coquetdale Chamber Choir! soundcloud.com/fiona-lander-…
just found out the Chorus of @RNSinfonia will be performing one of my choral settings by @CGRossettiMusic next Friday evening @glasshouseicm as part of @bbcproms 2024!
How exciting! 😃
Loved singing the string bass part of 'Love me Do' with my choir at the weekend! Thank to @QueensHall for the performance opportunity! Full SATB arrangement available now on @_ChoirCommunity
