🌱 Farm 2 Table at the Fair 🌱 With the support of a New York State grant and generous partners, ECAS proudly launched Farm 2 Table @ the Fair this year. Adapted from our school-year field trip program, this new field trip gave 463 students from the Say Yes Buffalo summer camp program, part of Buffalo Public Schools, the chance to experience the Erie County Fair—many for the very first time. The program’s goal is simple yet powerful: introduce youth to an agricultural fair while blending education with fun. Students toured the Fairgrounds with guest speakers and hands-on activities at places like the Agriculture Discovery Center, the Grange, and the Creative Arts Building. Each went home with a fresh zucchini and recipe to continue the “farm to table” experience at home. Farm 2 Table at the Fair is more than a field trip—it’s an opportunity to spark curiosity and connect kids, educators, sponsors, and community leaders with the future of agriculture. 🌾🐄🍅 We couldn’t do it without our community! Thank you to @FirstStudentInc, @stratesshows, Retro BFLO, @Aquafina, @UpstateFarms, @Wegmans, Woodworkers of WNY, WNY Honey Producers, and WNY Maple Producers for helping us bring Farm 2 Table to life. Together, we’re creating opportunities for youth to learn, explore, and connect with agriculture at the Fair!
