100% MLS academy u16 call up!! No words for this kind of spirited recruiting effort. We are so bad at this.. @TaylorTwellman This is what I was talking about…. How do you justify the incestual relationship between US Soccer and MLS without saying the ynt call up system lacks merit? And since our national ynt lacks merit, the national team lacks merit.
My Como Park boys win the section tournament again and head back to MN State High School League tourney. Proud of these boys! I love HS ⚽️

La forma americana de llevar a un niño a hacer deporte debería estudiarse.
🇪🇸 En España:
Tu hijo quiere jugar al fútbol.
Lo apuntas al equipo del barrio.
Entrena martes y jueves.
Partido el sábado.
Tú llevas agua.
Fin.

I was talking to a former men’s D1 coach of about 20+ years the other day. Talking top 25 team every year.
He said was honestly not interested in recruiting MLS Next/ECNL kids by the time he retired.
He said those players are rarely able to step in and compete against older players as they’ve never done it before.
That’s why he was interested in international players (ones who are 18/19) because a lot had experience of playing against men.
The U.S. system doesn’t promote that.
Only 25% of our clients here at Sports Recruiting USA are internationals. But we’d estimate that the majority of them have played against adults in their 16-18 development.
Got a kid who’s wanting to play college in the next 2/3 years. Try get involved in an adult league set up. UPSL, MLS NEXT PRO (if lucky), and lots of others popping up everywhere.
Hope this helps someone.
