One thing I’ve learned from making The Fishing Log is that WoW fishing is a much deeper rabbit hole than I expected 😂🎣
Started with tracking catches. Now I’m chasing specimens, breaking personal records and finding excuses to fish in every zone.
Amazing what a little 🎣 addon on @CurseForge can turn into.

WoW players will spend hours farming the same dungeon for a 1% drop...
But somehow I'm the weird one for fishing in Stranglethorn for 3 hours trying to beat my personal best 😂🎣
Surely I'm not alone here?

Oh hey, that’s us!
Thanks for the spotlight @ForeverAddonsHQ!
Go give them a follow if you don’t already and we look forward to fishing alongside you, starting Nov 4th!

Anyone else spend far too much time fishing in WoW when there’s about a hundred other things they should be doing? 😂
We’ve got a little community of anglers starting to come together over on The Fishing Log Discord.
Thinking of running some weekend fishing challenges soon. 🎣
What would make a good first challenge?
Forget the raids for a minute…
What’s the one profession you ALWAYS end up levelling to max first when starting a fresh character in WoW? 👀
I somehow always find myself fishing, even when I promise myself I won’t - problem is I have more of a reason now! 😂🎣

10,000+ fish caught testing The Fishing Log and somehow I’m still excited every time the bobber moves 😂🎣
There’s something weirdly addictive about fishing in WoW, especially when you’re chasing personal bests and rare specimens!
Curious though, does anyone else actually enjoy WoW fishing, or am I in the minority here? 👀

The Anglers Community will once again be in Forever! 🎣
Just a reminder that the community feature is available on WoW Forever!
If you’re a creator or community and don’t want to manage a full guild, they’re a really good option for getting people together and organising groups.
You can also use the in-game calendar to plan events and share invite links outside the game for people to join.
Started making a WoW fishing addon because I wanted to know how many fish I’d caught.
10,062 fish later, I’m still testing it. 😂🎣
Pretty sure I’ve spent more time staring at a fishing bobber than fighting actual mobs.
Anyone else genuinely enjoy fishing in WoW?

10,062 fish caught while testing The Fishing Log. 🎣
TEN THOUSAND.
At this point I’m not sure whether I’m testing a WoW addon or just developing a serious fishing problem 😂
Even Nat Pagle would be telling me to go outside.

👀 Hidden Gems for WoW Addons? Love this idea, @CurseForge!
We’ve been building The Fishing Log for #WoWClassic and #WoWForever 🎣
An addon with fishing records, specimen hunting, achievements, bounties and a full Angler’s Journal.
Might be a little hidden gem worth a look! 👀
Fishing in WoW just got a whole lot more addictive. 🎣
The Fishing Log is growing into a proper fishing companion, with a full Angler’s Journal, personal bests, specimen hunting, zone challenges, bounties and even realm-wide records.
Every cast counts. Every fish has a story.
Decided to spread our brilliant fishing addon to the WoW Forever communities here on X!
Shoutout to @CurseForge and the team!
5700+ downloads in the beta and launch v1.0.0 is already raring to go.
