This summer, I had the opportunity to attend the Deep Dive into Blockchain (#DDiB26) Summer School at the University of Zurich on a fully funded scholarship.
While I couldn't make it to Switzerland due to visa issues, I was determined not to let that stop me from learning. I attended every session remotely, completed the hands-on labs, collaborated with an amazing team, and got to experience the program from thousands of miles away.
Over the course of the program, I explored the foundations of blockchain beyond just the the headlines. Worked on smart contracts, decentralized finance (DeFi), Ethereum, Cardano, DAOs, token standards, governance, and blockchain security. I also got to better understand ecosystems like BSV, and how different blockchain networks approach scalability, decentralization, and real-world adoption.
One of the highlights was working with my team on WhistleChain, a decentralized anonymous whistleblower reward system that gave us the chance to apply many of the concepts we'd learned throughout the program.

This afternoon, following the announcement of the Formula 1 African Grand Prix to take place in Rwanda, President Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame hosted a luncheon, where they were joined by @fia President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, @F1 President Stefano Domenicali, key private sector leaders on the continent and partners from the motorsports community.
