What does the GENIUS Act encompass, and what aspects remain undefined?
Our Chief Legal Officer provides insights into the role of DeFi on Flare within the context of the GENIUS Act 👇
1/ The GENIUS Act regulates digital dollars. It shouldn’t regulate the imagination of those who use them.
On Flare, @Kinetic_Markets, @SparkDexAI and @Firelightfi show what happens when builders turn digital assets into useful financial services.

A very welcome surprise! Thank you for your support @XRPLF
We welcome @FlareNetworks to the recommended XRP Ledger validator list published by the XRPL Foundation.
Flare aligns with the core values of the @XRP Ledger, is actively participating in governance, and contributes to the broader ecosystem.

FLARE COMMITS TO THE XRP ECOSYSTEM
Flare joined the XRP Ledger Foundation’s recommended validator list, replacing Anodos.
The list remains at 35 validators, but Flare now plays a direct role in helping the XRPL reach consensus.
This is significant as Flare builds financial services around XRP.
Through FXRP, XRP holders can access lending, vaults, and DeFi applications on Flare. RLUSD is also part of this ecosystem.
Flare supports the network that its applications depend on, not just build applications.
There’s no immediate new demand for XRP or FLR from this announcement.
It’s encouraging to see a company investing in both XRP’s financial uses and its infrastructure.
This shows a stronger long-term commitment to the XRP ecosystem.

@VonRedbird Glad to have you onboard with us on the Flare Network. To clarify, you don’t need any additional EVM wallet to earn max yield. If you’re currently using Xaman, then you are getting about 3% already. Rewards accrue daily in the background, but your accumulated yield rewards do not show on your vault dashboard—you can access them directly via the XRPFi dapp on the Flare mainnet app.

Thanks Marcus,
Just looking for max yield. Currently I’m only getting around 1%.
@VonRedbird Have you already started participating in earnXRP yield through Xaman, or are you just getting started?

New Earn/yield options coming - including XRP yield. Expecting to launch that before end of the year.

It’s bigger than this and I don’t think we have conveyed this sufficiently.
Flare is the network for data and confidential compute.
Flare Smart Accounts will eventually allow you to do anything you want with your XRP (and select other tokens on the XRPL - like RLUSD) on any chain that offers something for them - all in 1 click from the XRP Ledger using your existing wallet.
There will of course be a small charge for the privilege of using Flare as a decentralised data and abstraction network.
If XRP gets used across the wider crypto ecosystem at just 10% the rate that Ethereum is used the value that will accrue to Flare from this is huge. Remember also that this is only one thing that Flare does.

XRP as collateral for credit on Flare, with Smart Accounts abstracting the flow.
@FlareDevHub Session 26 will walk through the full flow: XRPL wallet → FXRP → cross-chain execution → borrow RLUSD against XRP with Smart Accounts.

How can XRP access onchain credit through a single XRPL-authorized flow?
Join our next Flare Builder Workshop Session: XRP Credit with Flare Smart Accounts.
🗓️ 28 October, 14:00 UTC
The session will walk through how an XRPL payment can authorize actions on Flare, with FDC verifying the transaction and the associated Smart Account executing a cross-chain credit flow.

Sceptre’s native swap feature is now powered by @mystic_finance!
Mystic aggregates 5 venues on @FlareNetworks and 8 on @ethereum to ensure you always get the best rates possible.
This is the start of a larger partnership with more joint offerings coming soon. Stay tuned.

Firelight’s entry point has become much simpler! With Flare Smart Accounts, you only need $XRP to get started.
Connect your supported #XRPL wallet, mint #FXRP, and deposit it into the Firelight vault.
That’s it! You’ve successfully entered the Firelight ecosystem: XRP in, FXRP minted, and vault deposit complete.💪🏾 $FLR
Using @FlareNetworks Smart Accounts to deploy into Firelight only requires XRP.
1. Connect a supported XRPL wallet.
2. Mint FXRP (Flare-wrapped XRP).
3. Mint and deposit into the Firelight vault.
Get started.

Last week, I worked a lot with Flare Confidential Compute. Of course, to set it up, it requires more steps to deploy the TEE, but oh boy, what doors does it open. I can't wait to tell you more very soon. Basically, now the limit is only your imagination.
See you at @EFDevcon 🫡

Firelight currently has $55.9M in total coverage capacity.
Platforms purchase cover in 30-day periods and pay premiums upfront, with orders matched against available capacity.

It’s great to see XAO DAO putting their XRP to work in @Firelightfi on Flare.
Thank you to the XAO DAO community for putting their trust in our ecosystem!
🏦 80% of the XAO DAO Treasury has been deployed to @Firelightfi for staking.
The proposal passed with flying colors.
No more idle ripple:native in our treasury.

Flare’s approach to XRP interoperability goes much further than simply bridging XRP into another ecosystem.
The @XRP starts on XRPL. Flare turns it into FXRP through FAssets, with the underlying XRP still backing it.
FXRP can then move to @ethereum through its OFT setup and be used as collateral in Morpho, where borrowers access RLUSD liquidity.
So the credit market can live on Ethereum while XRP stays native to XRPL and @FlareNetworks handles the layer that makes the asset programmable and portable.

Of the $FLR taking part in the network, 49.2% is now staked. 23.1B FLR.
In April it was about a third. Since FIP.16, stake carries 5x the weight of delegation, and holders keep moving with it.
