As an attorney I am watching your threats on X and national television. I have some advice @RepRobertGarcia: YOU better lawyer up.
Congress cannot use subpoenas solely to punish political opponents. Your threats are crossing into criminal extortion and congressional immunity will not save you.

Scott Galloway needs every sponsor and supporting company to drop him immediately. He’s openly advocating for the killing of an innocent American, Elon Musk, for pure political reasons.
On the Pivot podcast with Kara Swisher earlier this week, Galloway said: “We took the Rosenbergs and put them up against a wall and executed them for being traitors. And I realize this is an incendiary statement, but I’ll make it and I believe it. I think Elon Musk is a traitor to the West.” He added that Musk “should be held to the same standards as every other traitor in the West.”
He doubled down after the backlash. On Election Day (November 4) on his Prof G Podcast he repeated the same framing with a Charles Lindbergh hypothetical tied to Starlink restrictions in Ukraine and again called Musk a traitor who should face the same standards. On November 5 he posted on Facebook that “Elon Musk completely betrayed the West,” called the midterms a reckoning, and pushed to nationalize SpaceX. An interview with Fareed Zakaria contained similar language with no walk-back or apology.
Galloway needs universal condemnation and should face the legal consequences for these outlandish and inhumane statements. Sponsors of Pivot and his other shows, including companies that advertise through the Vox Media network, should cut ties with him right now.
Galloway also needs to step back and examine what he’s doing by ranting against ending a man who’s working to help paralyzed people walk again and help humanity reach other worlds. Galloway is a deeply disturbed man. Nobody content talks or acts the way he does.

SpaceX and Tesla have prospered in Texas, because we were not constantly operating under an oppressive and extractive state government.
And I need to be close to the factories, so that I can walk the floor in person. That’s why the first major SpaceX factory was in LA and first major Tesla factory was in SF Bay Area.
As California became increasingly difficult, due to extreme taxes and overregulation, we moved our major domestic expansions and HQ to Texas.

There is no fact-based argument for a reduction of data center build out due to an already expected split government midterm result or the state voting initiatives.
1. If a local/state gov doesn’t want to make a deal, the cloud/hyperscaler will move to one who will . This isn’t binary, most locals are making deals. The builds over the next 1-1.5yrs are already permitted.
2. If the US as a whole rejects enough land mass where the demand for AI factories cannot be fulfilled in the US, those AI factories will move offshore repeating the prior 3 decades of globalization and hollowing out of our middle class. It was dumb back then and even dumber now given the geopolitical national security implications of AI sovereignty…

If Republican organizations are going to call fellow Republican patriots “demon worshippers,” we deserve to lose.
I’m Catholic. I’ve heard the same crap about my own faith from people who couldn’t tell you what Catholics actually believe. You’d think we’d know better than to turn around and do it to Sikhs.
Sikhs worship one God and reject idol worship. And the Catholic Church, which teaches that the fullness of religious life is found in Christ, also teaches that we should recognize what is true and holy in other faiths.
We have enough trouble persuading people to vote Republican. Why the hell are we picking fights with the people who already do?
