It’s been an honor to serve as a judge in the Africa Deep Tech Challenge. The finale is happening today.
Come and witness AI built to run on commodity hardware, including everyday laptops.
I helped build the profiler, the tool used to measure performance across the submissions.
Additionally, @FlowResearch_ has donated $4,000 to the prize pool.
Looking forward to hearing from the finalists and seeing what they’ve built.

funny thing is we have seen this vision already @FlowResearch_
people interfacing with agents in the digital and physical world.
it’s the vision behind all the tools we are building. all the talent pipelines we are forming. all the relationships. the coalitions.

Hi guys, so i'll be sharing my experience from building AI for Enterprises during my recent stint at Sift.
If you've ever wondered how access permissions move from tools like Slack and Linear to your workplace AI tool, come attend to get more details.

We're excited to announce Samuel Umoren (@saameeey) as a speaker at SysConf 2026!
His talk is titled "Enforcing Source Permissions in a Graph-Based AI Retrieval System."
Samuel built a workplace AI system that reads Slack messages and extracts decisions, tasks, and risks into Neo4j. These extracted items are then used in search, project timelines, and the context sent to a language model. However, the system had a permission gap: users could still see decisions from a private channel they didn’t have access to. This talk covers the details about how Samuel fixed it, tracing a single decision from Slack ingestion to AI retrieval.

ALT “Enforcing Source Permissions in a Graph-Based AI Retrieval System” is the title of Samuel’s talk at SysConf 2026.

ALT Samuel Umoren is an AI engineer, protocol researcher, and technical writer based in Nigeria. At Sift, he designed permission-aware retrieval for a Neo4j context graph, including source tracing, private-channel access, and data-leakage testing. He now builds protocol experiments and developer tooling, and has written over 200 technical articles.
We are excited for this conversation at SysConf 2026 @sysconf_

We're excited to announce Abiola Adeshina (@abiorhmangana) as a speaker at SysConf 2026!
His talk is titled "Workstream: Governed Contribution Infrastructure for Human-Agent Work."
When building platforms where people and their AI agents can claim tasks and submit work for review, it is critical that the requirements, the exact submitted files, the check results, and the human decisions stay connected through the entire task lifecycle. @FlowResearch_ is building one such platform called Workstream, which Abiola leads.
In this talk, Abiola details the architecture of Workstream by following a single task from setup and claim to submission, checks, review, and acceptance. What happens when a reviewer requests changes? Why are versioned project rules important? Attend this talk to get answers to questions like these, along with the design decisions behind them.

At #SysConf26, I’ll be talking about how we’re building Workstream at @FlowResearch_ infrastructure for humans and AI agents to do real work, submit it, get it reviewed, and have every contribution properly tracked.
I’ll take one task through the system from start to finish: versioned rules, leases, verified files, the outbox pattern, review changes, and one-transaction acceptance.
No high-level architecture tour. I want to show what actually happens underneath when a piece of work moves through the system.
See you at SysConf.

What makes a research idea worth pursuing? And how do you position yourself to turn that research into a funded opportunity?
I will be hosting a conversation on this with @shadab1418 for @FlowResearch_ on "Exploring Research Opportunities and Positioning for Grants."
An interesting idea is one thing. Turning it into research that funders take seriously is another.
Join us tonight for practical insights on identifying research gaps, evaluating ideas, finding funding opportunities, and building a credible research profile.
See you there!

If you build with tech or AI, you’ve probably wondered whether your work could become research and how to turn an “interesting idea” into something funders take seriously.
This Saturday, with Dr Md Shadab Mashuk, Assistant Professor at the University of Salford and AI Researcher, we’ll talk about finding real research gaps, turning ideas into researchable problems, exploring funding opportunities, and building credibility as an early-career researcher, student, or tech/AI builder.
