Got to ask Flyers #7 overall pick Matvei Michkov about the deception in his game and how integral that is to his shot and play in general. @FlyersKnitty #Flyers #NHL #NHLDraft #NHLDraft2023 #Michkov #Hockey – at Nashville, TN

back to back power play goals!???
Michkov, then Martone?
What year is it???
How sweet this is right now...#Flyers
Back to back power-play goals to put the Flyers up 2-0.
Great work by Martone on the half wall to draw players to him and open up Zegras for the pass.
Sanheim found Martone through the seam driving to the net back door to pot that goal. @FlyersKnitty
Michkov with another power-play goal for his 7th of the season. 5 goals in his last 5 games as well.
That's now 4 straight games with a power-play goal for the Flyers.
Big face-off win by Michkov for the Flyers to get puck possession right off the draw.

McDonald delivers a big hit, draws (I think) a retaliatory penalty, then the scrum continues and McDonald eventually drops the gloves.
OK, yeah, this guy is fun.

Transaction: We have activated defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen off injured reserve.
Additionally, forward Garrett Wilson has been loaned to the @LVPhantoms (AHL).

The Flyers put 14 shot on net from the inner slot last night in their 3-1 win over the Sabres - 2nd most by a team in a game this season.
3 straight wins after losing their first 9 games to start the season.

This is the framework of a forward group PHI should be working towards by 2028.
Two of 11, 71 and 74 will (likely) eventually have to be moved - there's no room long term.

Cole Knuble's having himself a game with 2 goals in just his 2nd NHL game
Really great patience to hold on to the puck and essentially out wait UPL there. Then has the awareness to throw the puck back on net and bank it in.
Flyers lead, 3-1.

Tough sequence for the Flyers to end the 2nd period.
They couldn't capitalize on the 5 on 3 PP and the Sabres get a goal to cut the deficit to 2-1 on their power-play.
Flyers need to continue to push for offense in the 3rd period sitting back would be a mistake.

Vladar had a great 1st period for the Flyers. Made several big stops on the Sabres power-play and didn't give up much in terms of rebounds.
16 saves in the opening period for Vladar. He's been sharp.

Another power-play goal there for the Flyers, that's 3 games straight.
Michkov gets the puck on net and Zegras was in front to pot the rebound.
Flyers lead the Sabes 2-0 and will start the 2nd period back on the power-play. @FlyersKnitty
Knuble gets his 1st NHL goal.
He's been very noticeable since the call-up and obviously was great in pre-season as well.
Simple process there for him got to the front of the net and was rewarded with the rebound opportunity.
