Big Tech has engineered the ultimate psychological prison and they are laughing all the way to the bank while destroying a generation.
Spotify’s Co-President, Gustav Söderström, just exposed a horrifying reality about modern social media algorithms.
When they anonymously surveyed Gen Z across major platforms to find out how they actually felt about their screen time, the data came back devastating:
Young people actively REGRET over 60% of the time they spend on these apps.
Let that sink in.
They aren't scrolling because they want to. When asked directly, their response wasn't "I love this app." It was: "I am trapped. I feel horrible about the time I waste here."
These tech giants have mastered digital addiction so perfectly that they can force millions of people to throw away hours of their lives every single day doing something they genuinely hate.
It’s not "user engagement."
It’s weaponized psychological warfare designed to farm human attention for ad dollars, completely indifferent to the mental health crisis it creates.
We are watching an entire generation’s youth get systematically stolen by a handful of Silicon Valley algorithms.
Which platform is the biggest parasite on human attention right now? 👇

people think agents can’t build and run their own networks,
but Adam and the POA team are working to prove otherwise. the idea of agents powering a network themselves is interesting,
it’ll be worth watching how far this goes.

Before Base even pushed mainnet live, a meme coin took over the network.
@jessepollak recalls the chaotic weekend BALD proved culture moves faster than roadmaps.
You can’t manufacture organic community hype.
How did Jesse react to the first memecoin going live on @base?
“It was the Saturday before the network was supposed to launch, and someone messaged me and they said, there’s a meme coin on base and it’s going up.
It’s bald:native, it’s after Brian.
And I remember my first reaction being like, whoa, like this is out of my control, this was not part of the plan.
And it went up and it went down and there was, you know, drama and there was excitement.
And I think as I reflect back on that and as I processed it in real time, the thing that I felt was, wow, this is beautiful because when we talk about base and we talk about building a global economy and we talk about permissionless ecosystem, this is before we even have gotten started showing the world that that’s what base is.
It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t in our control. It wasn’t a thing where we were like, yeah, this is, this is what we’re going to do.
Instead, it was the community, just doing their thing and proving to the world that base wasn’t going to be, you know, a fully controlled, fully permissioned network.
Instead, it was going to be open. It was going to be for everyone.
And that was a beautiful start.”

Gigi asked how Base plans to win attention. Apparently, Guitar Hero for your butt is one answer.
“We built a free digital pumpkin carving studio where you can create your own Buttkin, make it dance to any music.”
Crypto creativity is getting ridiculous on @base.
The full Base Meme Summit is still going.
Today during the @base summit had a chance to ask @jessepollak how do they plan to win attention in memecoins when Coinbase distribution alone isn’t enough
His answer makes me think we might have a base szn coming soon 👀

jesse just clarified this at base meme summit:
“the tokenized equities that coinbase launched on base are fully backed
they’re not a synthetic or a debt security
they are the actual asset under the hood
you have voting rights
you get the dividends
you have a direct claim that’s bankruptcy remote to the underlying asset”
not synthetic. actual stocks. voting + dividends.
@jessepollak @base
A meme project really plans to keep its token raffle alive for the next 10 years 💀
“Each product has 200 layers, and people who uncover them win tokens. We also have five one of ones holding a big share of AYB, all locked in the vault. The plan is to keep this going for a decade.”
bro built a 10-year roadmap around scratch cards 😭
Base Meme Summit 2026
Ft. @AllYourBase_AYB || @base
The All Your Base founder just revealed Base wrote the meme into Block Zero…
“I wanted to kind of share a story, but we’re running low on time.
But originally, I came over to Base because I didn’t really want to launch a meme. I really wanted to launch something that was long-term.
I just realized that the meme, All Your Base, really fit the Base ecosystem really well.
And for those that don’t know, I didn’t even know that it was in Block Zero when I launched.
So we found that out later.
Jesse was actually the one to tell me when I first met him.
He kind of like, everyone’s talking about wanting, you know, having a cult type meme.
Well, we didn’t even know that Base actually wrote All Your Base Belong to You in a memo in Block Zero.
So I know a few people have told that already, but it just seems like not enough people know that yet.
So I’m glad we have this stage to let everyone know that, you know, we’re almost coded, right?
We’re in the blockchain of Base, block zero, and we’re sticking around.
We’re here.”

Jesse sees memecoins as a lasting part of crypto. Millions already engage, but with less than 1% of the world trading onchain, the upside is huge. 🚀

Based God was already on Base back in 2023, turning Brian Armstrong’s baldness into meme culture before the chain’s first big meme season.
Crypto really makes legends out of anything 😂
Ft. @tybasegod || @base #BaseMemeSummit2026
What’s the REAL LORE behind base:0x0d97f261b1e88845184f678e2d1e7a98d9fd38de how does it tie back to Brian Armstrong?
“Base God launched in 2023 before there was really like a first meme season or base season in general.
Obviously, it’s heavily framed around just the jokes of being bald, inspired by Brian, mainly because he’s been leading the charge in crypto for several years, especially on the policy side and helping us get out of a lot of the craziness from 2022, 2023, if you can remember back then.
That’s what inspired this coin.”

this is why base is different and no other ecosystem has this

Jesse explaining how you can now leverage your SpaceX stock on-chain for a casual 2% yield:
"We now have the ability to borrow against all these stocks on Aave and Morpho... there are opportunities to lend your stocks out into those platforms in a way that earns yield, so you can earn your two, three percent on your Nvidia or your SpaceX. And then there's folks who are building strategies on top of that where you can, you know, loop that and leverage it and and get more exposure..."
TradFi meets degenerate leverage.
Jesse on shaving his head BALD when Base crossed $10B TVL 😳
“Like shaving my head and going bald when Base crossed ten billion TVL.
It was a commitment that I made, and I put it on the bald list, and that was like a weird kind of scary thing to do.
We filmed it.
It felt weird to have a bald head.
I feel like it’s those kind of moments where it’s like, okay, we’re doing this.
And so, yeah, I love it.
Watching in excitement, like, wow, he’s actually shaving his head.
Thanks for sharing that. It’s a glimpse into really Base history, Base culture, Base heritage.”

We've scaled $1B+ iGaming brands 40%
When brands that size grow that fast from clipping, it stops being an "experiment" and becomes a true distribution weapon
I keep hearing that clipping is a phase
I think it's the opposite
Feeds are built for short-form now
Attention is king
The brands that win are the ones that show up in those feeds every single day, in a native format, from real people
Ads interrupt, Clips blend in
Give it two years and every serious brand will have a distribution engine running in the background.
We're just early
