I feel so sorry for Netflix era kids. They will never know the high stakes adrenaline of running to the bathroom/fridge/bedroom in a single ad break, with the beckoning call of a sibling screaming "It's ONNNNNN" to send you hurdling over furniture to get back in time.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Paul Rudd co-own a beloved candy store in New York called Samuel's Sweet Shop They joined forces to save it from closing down, saving everyone's jobs, after its owner - their friend - sadly passed away

helllll yes I loved this response from Matthew Lillard at today's "Scream" NYCC panel about how his and Skeet Ulrich's characters are gay icons Matthew: People approach us all the time like, "You are my queer awakening." And I just want to say that, for us, I think that it's super powerful that our relationship to these characters has nothing to do with being gay, but if it means something to a kid out there somewhere who's like, "Oh, I feel seen in this relationship," that it's important for us to hold that space for these queer icons. We were not doing queer on the day, but we're here for it 30 years later Skeet: [puts his arm around Matthew] We're doing it now!

I’m anti-death penalty, but putting that aside: if the state fails an execution, it shouldn’t be allowed to try again Game over, the sentence is now life in prison without parole. It absolutely should not be legal to maim prisoners in the attempt, patch them up, and try again

Tisha Campbell talking about how she grew up on welfare and would have to hide the toaster when the welfare officer came to the house bc it was considered too high end for a poor person to have. A toaster. This country has always been sick.
