Sam Cooper, author and architect from the Golf Badgers podcast and LinksFromTheRoad, picks the 4th hole as his favourite among many worthy contenders.
The par 5 2nd hole sums up our course perfectly.
At just 413 yards, many stand on the tee expecting a birdie, only to find themselves driving into the heather, finding sand near the green, and walking off scratching their head with a double or worse.
Despite the summer heatwave, the course held up beautifully, and we're pleased to say the fairways are now regaining their colour.
A welcome sight after the dry spell.
The 'Monkey House.'

The 14th may fly under the radar, but its clever bunker placement makes it far tougher than it first appears. Two good shots are required here.
Purple heather marks the peak of summer here, but our course is playable, firm, and in great condition 12 months a year.
There's something a little more special about a visit in August, though.
Our pristine conditioning is largely thanks to a few factors: our wonderful team, our golf-perfect terrain, and the fact that our course probably gets fewer divots and pitchmarks than any other in the country.
While it won't bloom fully this year due to the heatwave, the heather has still put on a show and our fairways are now lined with stunning purple.
It's probably the best time of year to play our course. Book now: bit.ly/4gYXcOa
