Conceptually Thinking Basketball: @savannawright22 @MokanGirls Savanna Wright (2028) — Mount Vernon HS / Mokan Girls Hoops 5’5” Point Guard | Iowa Grassroots / Mokan Circuit Wright profiles as an IQ-driven playmaking guard whose value is rooted in tempo control, processing speed, and possession management. The defining signal is not raw physicality or size projection — it is the consistency of the evaluator language surrounding her game. Des Moines Register All-Iowa recognition, repeated Prep Girls Hoops tracking, and OWU CTB’s “Iowa’s Next Point Guard Phenom” designation all point toward the same conclusion: Wright impacts games through decision-making efficiency and offensive orchestration. At 5’5”, her game is built on creativity, timing, and pace manipulation rather than physical advantage. She generates offense through off-the-dribble creation, live-read passing, and the ability to shift defensive positioning with quick processing. PGH’s emphasis on her “poise and creativity” is important because those traits are directly tied to lead-guard translation. Wright consistently plays ahead of possessions, reads defensive rotations early, and keeps offensive flow organized under pressure. Her offensive value increases in pace-friendly systems that prioritize ball movement, transition opportunities, and guard-led decision-making. She projects as the type of guard capable of elevating team offensive efficiency through tempo organization and advantage creation rather than high-volume isolation scoring. The smaller-school context matters, but the independent recognition across multiple evaluators suggests the talent signal is legitimate and not simply production inflation. Defensively, Wright projects as an activity-based guard who creates disruption through anticipation, pressure, and quickness. Her size naturally limits certain matchup versatility at higher levels, but her processing speed and competitiveness provide pathways to defensive utility through pace disruption, passing-lane activity, and full-court pressure. The primary variable in her long-term projection is exposure calibration. The current profile carries strong regional validation, but expanded national-circuit competition would provide clearer translation data against higher-level athleticism and defensive speed. The AIA Center Stage selection is an encouraging signal in that direction, suggesting her evaluation profile is already drawing attention from higher-tier grassroots ecosystems. Wright currently projects as a mid-major level point guard with upside tied directly to continued skill expansion, shooting consistency, and circuit elevation. The core foundation — poise, creativity, and offensive processing — is already visible. Players with genuine lead-guard cognition tend to scale further than traditional measurables predict, and that remains the central evaluation bet within her profile. #OWUEvalDay #ConceptuallyThinking #BuiltDifferent #PlayerTrustNetwork #ScoutingTruths [@PGHBrooks ] [@NXTPROG] [@JrAllStarBB] [] [@IGBRcoverage [@WorldExposureWB] [@_BlakeDerrick] [@WKGameBall] [@EconAdjunct] [@FiveStateHoops] [@OWUTALENT ][@PGHiowa ] [@JrAllStariowa ] @gemsinthegym
