Greetings from the site of a major flight disruption on Commercial Street in Astoria. Mitch's Witches have once again collided with every single lamppost in Downtown Astoria. It's probably these foggy mornings and wet afternoons that are creating low-visibility conditions. The Astoria Downtown Historic District Association decorates our streets each season, and this year they joined us at Fort George for a community Witch Dressing day. Let us know how you think we did!

Cavatica is the undisputed champion of American Stouts. For nearly 20 years, this bold and curious concoction has been the Northwest's stout of choice. It's not a health drink; it's the actual opposite of a light beer; it's no dry, Irish anything. Cavatica Stout is built on a strong backbone of deep, dark, flavorful craft malt with a surprising amount of Cascade hops. Ship beer direct to your door in OR, or find it near you via the Beer Finder at the link in bio.

It's the season of the night light. Outside, lit by a low and meager moon, darkness creeps earlier and earlier. Evening clouds part on to cold clear skies and we stretch out beneath a glinting ceiling of stars. Ceiling of Stars is a crisp, bracing Pilsner in the Northwest style: Riwaka, Nelson and Mouteka hops give this otherwise friendly Pilsner a striking, citrusy edge. Twinkling and bright. Find it in the Online Store, at the Pubs, and throughout the PNW for a very limited time. Can art by Will Elias.

Whatever island you're going to - metaphorical island, physical island, emotional island, spiritual island - it's important to consider what you're taking with you. For us, it's a dog-eared copy of "The Rights of Man", a squeegee, and a case of Island Towns, a Tropical West Coast Style IPA. You can get a copy of "The Rights of Man" at most used bookstores or on the internet for .95 cents (plus 11.99 for shipping), or read it for free on Project Gutenberg. You can get a case of Island Towns in the online store at the link in bio, or anywhere in the Pacific Northwest, wherever you get good beer. Can art by Seattle artist Jesse LeDoux.

You cannot get any Fresher than Fresh IPA. We've been brewing Fresh IPA every year for nearly two decades. Our Fresh Hop beers are brewed with Fresh Hops on the hot side of the brew, meaning the majority of the flavor is coming from the Fresh Hops. And it also means you can keep drinking them for weeks after packaging without any grassy off-flavors. But, obviously, Fresh IPA is best consumed ~Fresh~. You can get Fresh IPA at the Pub and throughout the PNW now, or ship it direct to your door in OR at the link in bio. Straight from the bine, to the tank, to your pint glass.

At just 2.8% ABV, it's a big IPA in a little IPA's shoes. Quiet. Understated. Chill. Putting all of our signature hop flavor into a beer so small was no easy feat. Fortunately, all our brewers are trained in the fundamentals of magic. But we’re not here to boast. You might even say we’re... low key. Low Key Small IPA returns to the Pubs this Wednesday, making its way throughout the PNW soon after. Beer ships direct to your door in OR at the link in bio. Can art by Will Elias.

Un Seis is a test batch (test batch uno) for a spring collaboration with a brewery known for Seises. This is just one Seis. There may be two Seises. There may be three. There may be more. Only one fact is a mathematical certainty - when you add a great IPA to another great IPA, the sum is six. It's a crisp, dry West Coast IPA with a whole lot of fresh fruit and citrus flavor. Collaboration details coming in the future, but let us know what you think in the meantime. Releasing on draft only at the Pubs today.

Crysknife is a melange of hop fruit & spice with multitudes of Citra, Strata, Azacca, and Cashmere hops. Brewed from a shared love of hazy IPAs and science fiction classics, this trusty collaboration with Our Mutual Friend Brewing out of Denver, Colorado should never leave your side. For safety reasons. A crysknife is a blade made from the tooth of a sandworm in the novel Dune by Frank Herbert. It's the weapon of choice for the Fremen from the planet Arrakis. We like to think that this would be their beer of choice. Releasing at the Pubs this Saturday, making its way throughout the PNW soon. Ship beer direct to your door in OR at the link in bio. Can art by Will Elias.

Last year, after many years of talking about what we were going to do during the winter instead of hibernate, we threw our first-ever Beer Tree Fest: a wintertime celebration of Tree Beer. This year, in addition to longtime staff and customer favorites, Magnanimous and Spruce Budd, we'll have special cask beers, bierstacheln, Christmas trees for sale, tree-themed vendors, a big tree made out of beer kegs, live music, and guest Tree Beers on tap from some of the best brewers in the country. Beer Tree Fest is open to the public, but if you want to drink the tree beer on tap, you'll need a Beer Tree Fest Glass and some tokens. You can purchase both in advance at the link in bio.
