Sorry @khnews , but opting out of Medicare does NOT mean leaving Medicare patients behind. Quite the contrary, it means abandoning improper top-down interference in the patient-doctor relationship. khn.org/MTA5MTIwNw

@SeemaCMS @rshawnm @aafp oh, CMS will pay up $50-100 per phone call? What if i told you that they could pay #directcare $50-100 per month for unlimited phone calls, home visits, office visits, PLUS free procedures and 95% savings on meds & labs :)

Germany tests a LOT. They are containing the virus. Why Germany?

The US, sadly, had the opposite:
The Red Tape Pandemic
Let's learn from this pandemic: regulations do real harm! They have delayed test kits, “telehealth", and hospital innovation, making the coronavirus pandemic worse. They set America backs months.

As a former health insurance exec, I don’t think any story better illustrates my old industry’s racket than the one I’m about to tell you: Right now, as we enter the worst public health crisis of our lifetimes (#COVID19), health insurers are still raking in record profits. (1/11)

We all know that the DPC provision was tortured to make the score look pretty as a solo bill. The language was horrific, why it never moved. Let's not pretend that anyone cares about the score of this current $1.3 T bill. Put the right language in there. We have that language.

A patient came to our practice in need of a PET scan. She had been quoted $7,000 for the test and offered a cash price of $5,000. Our price through our partner is $1,627. The savings on one test paid for nearly 4 years of primary care. #PriceTransparencySavesLives #DPC
Because we are not beholden to third-parties and their EHR requirements, DPC physicians place our priority in providing the high-touch personalized care by giving time and attention to our patients, not to the EHR.

#directcare practices have hit a new record! Saving patients $11m on medications. Saving almost $100k every week -- NOW thats how you fix healthcare :)
