We're taking the next step to make #AndroidXR even more helpful and seamless in your daily life. So much to share from The Android Show | XR Edition today in partnership with @SamsungMobile and @Qualcomm. We introduced powerful new features for Galaxy XR, including Travel Mode for using your device on the go, PC Connect for streaming high fidelity desktop and laptop experiences to XR, and representing you as a photoreal avatar, with our Likeness feature. We also shared updates on our AI glasses which we are building with @SamsungMobile, @WarbyParker and @_GentleMonster_. The Developer Preview 3 of the Android XR SDK brings new tools to all developers and opens up development for AI Glasses! Finally, we also showed how we are expanding Android XR to the broader ecosystem, with Project Aura from @XREAL_Global. Read more on the blog: blog.google/products/android… Here’s a recap: youtu.be/oy_ayfHcVWA And you can watch the full keynote here: youtube.com/live/a9xPC_FoaG0

It was an honor to talk about the convergence of XR and AI at @TEDTalks, including a sneak peek of Android XR headsets and glasses powered by Gemini. Big thanks to @Google @SamsungMobile @Qualcomm and partners for an incredible journey so far. More soon!
Misplace your things often? These AI glasses could help. In this live demo at #TED2025, computer scientist @izadi_shahram debuts Google’s prototype smart glasses, powered by the new @Android XR system. Watch the full demo here: t.ted.com/z4hCFIU

Turning the crowd audio off during the US national anthem at 4 nations was downright unpatriotic. @Sportsnet you should be ashamed, let people make their peaceful protest.

Please read this. It’s important. No matter what happens with the Canadian Federal election this year, one thing will be true — a significant percent of Canadian voters and media will have been successfully manipulated to oppose a beneficial carbon pricing approach that was either revenue-neutral or financially beneficial to almost all Canadians, with smart pricing mechanisms well understood to be one of the most effective ways to support badly needed #ClimateCrisis mitigation, ALL because of a continually repeated political slogan as lazy as “axe the tax.” It should take a lot more than that to get us to do something so dumb, so self-defeating, for our own future. Why am I including the media in this? Because instead of media doing their job and constantly informing the public that the “carbon tax” is in fact a strategic rebate program that more than makes most Canadians financially whole every single time the “ax the tax” messaging is reported, they gave up on that quickly (if they did it at all). They instead fuelled a false narrative of “affordability vs climate action” that was never true (“Canadian voters are just more concerned about affordability than climate action,” I just heard that false choice again on the news). Most media eventually just started referring to the program with shorthand like “the unpopular” or “the controversial” or “the polarizing carbon tax.” Those shorthand statements are factually accurate, but they leave out that the program is unpopular because of the highly successful misinformation campaign that the media itself helped. In other words, they reported the controversy and ignored the more important story that the controversy was manufactured based on misinformation and the media itself played role in it. At best, that’s lazy and unprofessional, and at worst that’s complicit. We’re essentially all responsible though. We should all be a lot harder to manipulate than this. And sadly, the consequences of being such “easy marks” are going to be huge. #ClimateCrisis #CarbonTax #AxeTheTax

Deck was great, pilot was mediocre. Dropped after 5-5. Lost two seperate matches to Jund Sac simply from not respecting their explosiveness. Should be a good match in general.
Playing a bit of an Esper brew this weekend in Calgary. @EdgarMTG asking why all the retired pros turn to unplayable control decks 🤔 @shaheenmtg I'll do my best to do you proud #F2FYYC

I just wanted to clear the air about the events at the Canadian RC this past weekend. @walaoumpa reached out to me yesterday to offer his sincerest apologies. I accepted his apology and I sincerely wish him the best moving forward.

Strongly agree. As someone who only dips their toe into a format every couple months, modern is inaccessible monetarily. The concept that Modern is cheaper because cards are playable longer has been completely up ended by the MH sets.
Hot take: RC season should either be Standard Pioneer Standard or add a fourth season to include Modern. Modern should not be a mainline competitive RC format. As an alternative, a paper tournament series that supports only Standard should be created.

Playing some standard this weekend. Thoughtseize, Bob, Liliana. Takes me back.

9-3-1 in the F2F RC this past weekend with UW control. Lay down arms continues to be the deck's MVP and I believe any control decks forgoing it are making a huge deck building error. Two losses to lotus combo felt unwinnable, otherwise happy to play any matchup at the event.

Spent the last few weeks focusing on snap with some MTG downtime and got to infinite with my take on control. Sandman or Wave do a great job cutting off shenanigans, and either into T6 Leader is nearly unbeatable. Just need to snap as you sandman, as gets lots of auto retreats.

6-2 day 1 at #F2FYYZ with some old fashion UW Control. In the words of @tirentu "A bad deck with good matchups".

it feels very much like 1) some teams rather take away the decision so no individual player looks bad when they opt out 2) this is a total cop out when military appreciation night is ok according to teams for Russian players
It really bothers me that the Blackhawks, as an organization, took the choice out of their players' hands. I get all the arguments, I get all the concerns. I do. But if Connor Murphy or anyone else wants to show his support, he should be allowed to show his support.

Still having a blast playing Marvel Snap. This is what I'm currently playing. Great at baiting people into bad snaps as you can reguarly add 30+ power to the board on your last turn. I'm sure people will eventually figure out the surfer's power, but haven't seemed to yet!

Nova, scorpion and killmonger are flex spots. Could play things like goose, armor or cosmo depending on meta. I don't have Serra yet, but she's probably a bit better than Magic though they play similar roles allowing you to get extra 3s in play before you surf.
