Ill never forgive the Eth devs for removing EIP7907 in the Fusaka upgrade- Pinto is at the point where we require multiple library links in order to get the contracts down to 24kb 🙃 Time spent on dealing with this is time not spent on writing good code

The biggest elephant in the room is that the defacto MoE and UoA on @ethereum are USD wrappers and not money. One camp has surrendered to this reality. Another ridicules the entire crypto economy because of it. The few who don’t belong to either camp are Farmers building and balancing @pintodotmoney.
one of the scariest parts of this situation is how many people in high places acknowledge to me the problem behind the scenes but to date have not spoken publicly about the issue. we need leadership within the @ethereum community to be brave and speak out about this issue. that doesn't mean we shouldn't acknowledge the risks of algo stables – of which there are many! but if we don't solve this problem all of the hard work done to keep ethereum decentralized from a technical perspective will be in vain

Ahead of each Fed meeting, everyone is forced to speculate on what a few people will decide. The fate of the global economy shouldn’t hinge on guessing a handful of officials’ next move. Monetary policy should be transparent, deterministic, and fair. The absence of these properties in the current system is what gave rise to Ethereum/Bitcoin. $Pinto is an attempt to honor these principles while also having low volatility, to serve as the currency of the new economy.

The fiat model is inherently vulnerable to bank runs. Historically, governments kept it alive with liquidity injections and money printing, forcing currency devaluation onto the people. Just as perfect stability is impossible, so too is preventing bank runs. But it is possible to design incentives that minimize their frequency and severity. Our Stalk System is that response. We believe it’s the best solution to date, and crucially, it does so without devaluing the currency.

the dependence on centralized stablecoins that poses an existential threat to the sovereignty of @ethereum comes from the false dichotomy around stablecoins as either perfectly stable, or broken. while the absence of volatility is a key driver of utility of media of exchanges and units of account, (1) any currency actually is subject to some volatility because value itself is dynamic and subjective, and (2) carrying costs are another major determinant of utility. by viewing the algo stable problem as trying to create a system with sufficiently low volatility and sufficiently high (positive) carrying costs instead of trying to create perfect stability, the problem becomes solvable. the solution is to design volatility dampening mechanisms and build them into the currency design, and distribute value created by the currency as yield to its holders. from this viewpoint, there must be some threshold beyond which the volatility is sufficiently low and the carrying costs are sufficiently high such that the yield you get paid for holding the currency outweighs the downside of the additional volatility.

An algo stable lives and dies by its incentives. The Silo is the most sophisticated staking design in DeFi - efficiently issuing yield, optimizing liquidity distribution, and improving peg maintenance all under one cohesive mechanism. Read all about it!

A performant chain is not enough if the money can’t scale Pinto is network native, censorship resistant money that can scale to facilitate a digital economy.

Humanity was always able to turn the impossible into reality. A scalable, network native MoE and UoA is no different. I refuse to accept the notion that an Algostable is impossible based on the evidence of Terra. A properly designed money model can align the incentives to make this possible. study @pintodotmoney
crypto and ai can gigafry your brain in similar ways. you either end up trying to invent new physics with chatgpt, or new economics with an algostable.

fascinating data on the farm today: there was a wall of bids stacked at 700%, but one lone farmer bid soil and undercut everyone by 2%. This PvP dynamic is exactly how the protocol sells soil at the most efficient rate possible.
This week, the Temperature has risen from 650% to attract lenders. It seems to have found a bid at 698%. 🧪

Relying on centralized assets as the primary UoA & MoE puts entire networks at risk - circle, tether, and even users benefit massively by having their own chain. Network native money is the only way out - @pintodotmoney is the solution
Stablecoin giants Tether and Circle, along with payments leader Stripe, are launching their own blockchains. If they are going to win, then someone needs to lose, right? 🧵👇🏻

One of the inefficiencies of the current pod marketplace is that a 3rd party cannot come in and cross orders. There's currently a bid for pods at one price and place in line, and pods listed that are earlier in line (at the same price). We aim to address this and numerous others by leveraging tractor and creating a new marketplace from first principles 🌱🔜

When we launched $Pinto, we had no idea that the next 5 months in crypto would be brutally bearish. The fact that the model, with very little credit worthiness, was able to survive in this environment, speaks volumes to the strength of the model. My money is on @pintodotmoney 🌱
I thought @pintodotmoney had suffered the same fate as beanstalk after a few months pleasantly surprised to see it’s close to a dollar. unbelievable it recovered from .34. What happened? seems peg maintenance is working. 7 months now. What does it look like in a year?
