As November approaches, we invite you to remember your departed loved ones in the prayers of our parish.
November lists will be available in the bulletin this weekend, 24/25 October. Please return completed lists to the box in front of the Marian altar so that those named may be remembered in prayer throughout November.
This Sunday, 25 October, we look forward to welcoming representatives from St Ambrose High School to St Augustine’s.
They will speak at the end of Mass about the spiritual and pastoral life of the school, sharing how faith is nurtured and young people are supported throughout their time there.
Please keep the pupils, staff and families of St Ambrose in your prayers as they continue to learn, grow and live out their faith together.
This Sunday we are looking forward to welcoming our Primary 1 children and their families to a very special Mass at St Augustine’s.
Our Primary 1 Welcome Mass will take place at 10.00am on Sunday, giving us an opportunity to welcome our youngest children as they begin this exciting new chapter at school and in the life of our parish.
Each P1 child will receive their own little Jesus teddy to take home with them, and after Mass everyone is invited to join us for Sunday Brunch in the Parish Centre.
Only three days to go until our Halloween Movie Night at St Augustine’s Parish Centre!
Join us this Friday, 23 October at 7.00pm for Hocus Pocus and a great Halloween evening in the Parish Centre.
Tickets are £5 per person and every penny raised will support our young people travelling to Lourdes next year. The pilgrimage costs around £1,200 for each young person and is fully funded, so events like this make a real difference.
Bring the family, enjoy the film and help us support our young people on their journey to Lourdes.

Our Garden and Grounds Team are looking for your help to make St Augustine’s bloom next spring!
We would be very grateful for donations of spring bulbs, particularly dwarf daffodils, tulips, muscari and crocuses, which will be planted around our parish grounds.
Donations can be left in the marked box in the church porch. You can also include the name of someone you would like remembered, and their name will be planted along with the bulbs.
It’s a simple way to help make our parish grounds beautiful for everyone to enjoy in the spring. Thank you, as always, for supporting the work of our Garden and Grounds Team.
Our Marian Devotions continue this evening at St Augustine’s as part of our Tuesday evenings throughout October.
