SpaceX is building a $100 billion spaceport in Louisiana to support thousands of launches - every year. The proposed facility, Starbase Louisiana, will cover approximately 125,000 acres (50,600 hectares) near Pecan Island in Vermilion Parish. It would become SpaceX's fourth and largest launch site - more than eight times the size of Manhattan.
