With the recent release of the #AvengersDoomsday trailer, let's remember Julian McMahon, the first actor to portray Dr. Doom on the big screen, who passed away in 2025.
This scene remains one of the best examples of a Doctor Doom performance that was never truly recognized for what it deserved. Despite the flaws of the 2000s Fantastic Four films, Julian McMahon brought Victor Von Doom the presence, charisma, and ambition that made the character so iconic.
A hugely talented actor who was far too underrated, and who also gave us the unforgettable Cole Turner in Charmed. 💚
Two possibilities :
DCU collapses before Batman even makes his debut.
Batman arrives way too late, he’ll have to live up to years of anticipation, comparisons with the versions portrayed by Bale, Affleck, and Pattinson.
Peter Safran confirms DCU’s Batman is already active in Gotham during the events of ‘Clayface’ 🦇

In the DCEU, to take on Superman, there was no need to hide behind a screen, surrounded by an entire team shouting, “1A! 1A! 1A!”
No, you’d arrange to meet him in a dark basement in Gotham, one-on-one. And grab him directly by the neck.
