There are reasons housing prices could come down and people are forced to sell, but you have to understand things are different than 2008. If people take out HELOCs or other debt, financial hardship can crack the market.
Waiting for home prices to crash 50% like 2008? Here’s why it’s not happening: • 40% of US homes have NO mortgage • 70% of mortgaged homes are under 5% • 21% are under 3% Sellers with a $2k/mo payment aren't taking lowball bids just to take on a $5k/mo replacement. They just delist. #HousingMarket #RealEstate

He's not talking about the US, but he's talking about the US.
At what point do we stop focusing on who needs to pay more tax and start asking where all of our tax money is going.

Today is a great day to start building an emergency fund. I believe 12 months of basic living expenses is ideal, but any emergency fund is better than no emergency fund. This will give you more peace of mind and breathing room than you can imagine. I know some people think that is too much for an emergency fund. Let me hear it.

None of these claims backed with the how or the why abundance would be passed to the people. There is abundance now and it is not happening. Once the robots can do everything, generosity becomes the default? This doesn't pass the smell test. @elonmusk Please explain the how and why this flip will change.

Saving money for the distant future is pointless with the advent of super intelligent abundance

Today is a good day to start a detailed budget.

There are 8 billion people on this planet. Only 200 of them watch one of my videos on YouTube. Even less watch the whole thing or are engaged with the video. I think about this sometimes.

Hey Boomers, stop telling people things aren't harder now. You worked hard, you were frugal, you found the American dream. You have to open your eyes to the reality that it was easier to do so, even in the not so distant past. Hey GenZ, stop telling people it is impossible for you today. You can work hard, be frugal, and find the American dream. Yes, it's harder, but it is still possible. Your attitude and willingness to give up because things are harder is much more detrimental than the current circumstances.

This is 100% self-imposed. Every raise came with a new permanent increase in costs, new toys, eating out more, trying to keep up their look. This happens at much lower income levels as well.
36% of workers earning over $300,000 annually say they live paycheck to paycheck, per Goldman Sachs.

Are any videographers/editors going to TwitchCon @TwitchCon ? My videographer can't go this year and I can't justify a purely leisure trip away from my wife and 4 kids. I am looking for someone to film and edit videos of me interviewing people about financial literacy topics. It would be a bonus if we can live stream at the same time. Algorithm, do your thing!

I'm looking to #connect with people. I am into personal finance and have a mission to help millions of people with financial literacy. I have a genuine desire to help people. If you are into personal finance, financial literacy, or helping people in general, let's connect. I am looking for mutuals to learn and grow with.

I care deeply about financial literacy and think it can change millions, if not billions, of people's lives. I want people to be able to do what they want in this world. With that said, live with your parents as long as possible. Live with roommates as long as possible.

I woke up with a feeling of relief when I realized that the chewing gun I swallowed as a kid has finally digested.

Election season makes me hate having a cell phone. I am getting texts from CA, TX, and AZ. Sometimes it's fun to engage in a little trolling, but I only have so much time. How/where did I agree to this? How/where do I remove this permission? I shared a phone plan with someone living in CA, and I have lived in both TX and AZ in case anyone was wondering why I get texts from all 3 states.

I am sad that my children won't get the theater experience for the movies I will show them. I plan to take my oldest to A New Hope next year, but there are so many more movies that should be experienced in the theater. There has to be a profitable way to get some movies back in the theater so today's kids can experience it. @AMCTheatres @HarkinsTheatres @Cinemark can you start public campaigns to see what movies can get a limited release?

I post to 0 likes for two reasons: when I die, my kids can look back on this and see things their dad was thinking and put into the world. Also, someone random in the world may read my posts and realize they need the help I am offering.

When I was 18-19 and living with roommates, a cockroach was crawling on our family room wall (I promise we were not dirty like that). We had friends over and all of us were on the other side of the room. One of my roommates called us all a bunch of P words. Took off his shoe, and walked over to smash it. It jumped off the wall and started flying at him. He screamed and ran away. Everyone is scared of cockroaches.
There are two types of people in this world: people who are scared of cockroaches and people who eat them. I'm scared one. what about you? 😭

Almost every day my kids offer me a bite of whatever meal we're having. It's so sweet. My baby started picking this up from them as well. Pulls the food right out of his mouth and tries to give it to me.

Do you ever have questions about money but don't know who to ask because you think they're going to try to sell you something? Ask me. I have no products or classes to sell. I just want to help people get better with money.

What is stopping people from pooling their money together, buying land, growing their own food, raising cows and chickens for meat, milk, eggs, etc.?

I don't think people understand how people born in different generations are from each other. I was hanging out with my grandma one time (dad's mom), we're looking through old pictures of my dad, she casually drops that my dad wanted me aborted. Fact of the matter. My mom had not told me this before. When I got home and asked my mom about it, she was mortified I was asking her this question. For a little context, I didn't really know my dad, he was dead at this point, and my grandma still wanted a relationship with me.
