i am utterly aghast at how seemingly pro censorship the uk, and specifically MY generation has become. you (gen z) have become so brainwashed to believe freedom of sexual expression is inherently evil simply because you find it “gross”, that you are bending over backwards for an authoritarian government. you cannot claim to be a leftist or a feminist or an egalitarian or WHATEVER and be SW/porn exclusionary. being critical and taking action against the porn INDUSTRY, which has long thrived on the violation and abuse of women, is NOT the same thing as blanket bans on kink/fetish play which primarily destroy the livelihoods of the same minorities you claim to want to rescue. regulation, unionisation and decriminalisation of SW is the only path which protects and supports OUR rights as performers. does the paternalistic claim of “protecting women” not extend to us? or are we so “gross” in your eyes that we no longer even qualify for your dictatorial saviour complex? sexwork/porn has existed forever and will continue to do so. as a human being, it is your RIGHT to sexual liberation and creative freedom, which includes owning, viewing and creating adult content with/for other consenting adults. i cannot understand how you don’t see the obvious influence of puritanical and moral conservatism on your supposedly left leaning political views, when you display support for the egregious gutting of free speech and human rights in the uk. your sex repulsion is actively furthering the democratic decline of british society, exacerbating the poverty of the minorities who work in the sex industry and exposing the entire public to punitive measures based on little more than governmental dislike. thanks :)
