Driving your own voters out of the coalition is what conservatism has been about since Buckley. When you prioritize your abstractions (values, principles, propositions) over your people, gate-keeping is what you will get. (Also chasing after other people who will never vote for you.) Remember, “Uncle Tom” was a slur young blacks used against older, stuck-in-past blacks who were not hip to the future and wanted to get along with how things had always been. Don’t be a white “Uncle Tom. Support the so-called Groypers. They have the youth and energy needed to shape a better future. It’s clear old white men don’t.
